I have had the pleasure, and received much wisdom, sitting under the teachings of Ron Dunn of Lifestyle Ministries several times. Also, taking my time pouring through his writings has given me much joy and insight into prayer. And then, at a time when I was experiencing a deep, dark depression (of which he himself was no stranger to), Ron communicated with me through email; giving me much encouragement. I have always held Ron, and his ministry, in high regard. Concerning revival, Ron had this to say:
“In the recorded history of the church there has never been a mighty outpouring of the Spirit in revival that did not begin in the persistent, prevailing prayers of desperate people. Revival has never come because men placed it on the calendar. It has come because God placed it in their hearts.”
I sense God is moving to place a desire for revival in the hearts of good men and women of faith; I can only hope we are indeed desperate enough to pray the price!
