FBI obtains warrant to further investigate emails linked to Clinton server probe, as Sen. Harry Reid accuses Dir. Comey of violating Hatch Act
The warrant came two days after FBI director James Comey revealed that the emails were found on a laptop that belonged to the estranged husband of top Clinton aide Huma Abedin. Meanwhile, Democratic Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid scolded Comey, saying in a letter that he ‘demonstrated a disturbing double standard for the treatment of sensitive information, with what appears to be clear intent to aid one political party over another.’

Dems push Comey to release Clinton email details

Democrats are ramping up pressure on the FBI to release details about the agency’s review of new emails “pertinent” to the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server.

The Democratic presidential nominee’s aides are calling the three-paragraph letter FBI director James Comey sent to lawmakers on Friday telling them the bureau would be assessing these new emails “disturbing” and “unprecedented.”
