Israel Abuzz Over Reports of JCPOA Exemptions for Iran

A report released Thursday by the non-partisan Institute for Science and International Security think tank in Washington gave details of a previously undisclosed annex to the July 2015 JCPOA nuclear deal with Iran that allowed the Islamic Republic to evade some of the JCPOA’s restrictions on its renegade nuclear program. The report sparked expressions of shocked disbelief and outrage in Israel and several Arab countries and a flat denial by the White House.

Israel blesses the world

The effort to Boycott, Divest and Sanction (BDS) Israel suffered another defeat recently when teams from the major American sports leagues, the NFL, NBA, NHL and Major League Baseball hosted representatives of Israeli companies to learn about ways to improve their global brand. Over a dozen Israeli media and technology firms demonstrated new platforms and technologies to help sports teams manufacture more attractive products and apparel as well as media products and related materials.

Netanyahu and Bennet Visit Arab School

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Education Minister Naftali Bennet visited an elementary school in the Arab city of Tamra in the Lower Galilee on the first day of school Thursday, encouraging the students to study hard and become contributing members of society. “This is your state,” Netanyahu told the children, “I want you to learn the truth, and the truth is that we are destined to live together.” Speaking in Arabic, Bennet added that “I am the education minister of everyone; all the pupils are my children.”

Herzog Cleared in Corruption Investigation

Israeli Police announced on Thursday that they have concluded their investigation into allegations of corruption by Zionist Union leader Isaac Herzog and have found no evidence of criminal intent on Herzog’s part. However, the investigation into Zionist Union activities in the last election is still open.

JSO Set for Triumphant Season of Music

The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra is preparing to open the 2016/2017 concert season this month with several prominent artists from around the world scheduled to make guest appearances. The opening performance is set to include music recently composed by local artists as well as classics from both Israeli and Western composers.
