Before I continue on this series, I want to ask you to join me in praying for our Brother Dewey Moede as he prepares to go to Windom, Minnesota for a Revival this coming weekend, August 26th & 27th.

Father, we come before you and ask for favor for our brother Dewey as he prepares for travel to his hometown Windom. We ask that you provide safe passage for him and he others who are traveling. We ask that the building that this Revival is taking place, will be Your Holy Ground. We ask that the sound system that will be used will be fully functional and not quit as Dewey and others who are coming alongside, get your word out. We lift up those who are working behind the scenes to have no distractions and be able to help in whatever capacity You have them. We ask for You to bring many in Windom and surrounding areas to come and hear Your Word. We ask for hearts to be transformed and minds to be changed so that You can Work in many lives. We ask that those who are there to provide guidance in those whose lives are changed will provide proper direction to them, so that they will grow in their walks. We know Father that You have a plan in store for Dewey and those who are helping as well as those who You will draw to this Revival and those lives who they will touch, so that Your Glory shines all around. Thank You Father for all You will do through all of these individuals. Thank You for how You will work and how You are working. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Thank you for indulging me in this prayer for our Brother Dewey. It really does tie into this series of messages.

Let’s pick up from last week. We looked at how many will go back to old ways of thinking when doing Church. This may or may not be the way to do it. We do need to spend time in prayer and ask for guidance on where The Holy Spirit would lead us. Remember, He is sent by Jesus to be our Helper.

If we are not in prayer before we set out to do ministry, good chances are we are working in the flesh. Working in the flesh would be looking like something that was discussed last week that many churches do shows instead of ministry which can lead to burn out.

Here is another thing to look at, it can lead to causing division or even to where we lead others from being in fellowship. What I mean by this is that we need to remember, that people need to know that we love them like Christ loves us. We are to be the Church (Body of Christ). We are to show compassion. We are to learn where people are hurting and learn how to minister to them where they are.

Jesus fed those who were hungry before He taught them. He brought healing to where it was needed before He corrected them. To be a Christian means we need to be Christ-Like. It means we need to be imitators of Him. To do this, we need to spend time with Him.

We cannot do the same old same old anymore. It would make us like the Pharisees who went and put many stipulations on others and yet found loopholes in the rules and regulations they set on them. They expected others to follow the rules and didn’t follow them themselves. The adage, “Do as I say not as I do” applies here.

There is a problem in the Church Body and we need to look within ourselves and repent, first individually, then as a corporate body. I think that there is much for us to look at when God laid out the commandments of sacrifice.

Exodus 30:1-10 (NKJV):  “You shall make an altar to burn incense on; you shall make it of acacia wood. A cubit shall be its length and a cubit its width—it shall be square—and two cubits shall be its height. Its horns shall be of one piece with it. And you shall overlay its top, its sides all around, and its horns with pure gold; and you shall make for it a molding of gold all around. Two gold rings you shall make for it, under the molding on both its sides. You shall place them on its two sides, and they will be holders for the poles with which to bear it. You shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold. And you shall put it before the veil that is before the ark of the Testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the Testimony, where I will meet with you.

“Aaron shall burn on it sweet incense every morning; when he tends the lamps, he shall burn incense on it. And when Aaron lights the lamps at twilight, he shall burn incense on it, a perpetual incense before the Lord throughout your generations. You shall not offer strange incense on it, or a burnt offering, or a grain offering; nor shall you pour a drink offering on it. 10 And Aaron shall make atonement upon its horns once a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonement; once a year he shall make atonement upon it throughout your generations. It is most holy to the Lord.”

This was so that the whole nation could be cleansed and be useful for His Glory. I am not saying we should sacrifice today, I am saying that we do need to repent together.

There is more to say on this subject and I will continue in my next post.

Until next time, pray for guidance on what we need to do, ask for forgiveness where you/we fall short, look for opportunities to serve Him by serving others, Seek His Face continuously.

Ezekiel 37:1-14 (NKJV): The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”

So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.”

Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.”’”

So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.

Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”’” 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.

11 Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 14 I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’”
