The details of how she was murdered are so gruesome that there is no wonder that the first responders are having a difficult time.  This is the article found in The Albuquerque Journal:

Today we honor her at Mariposa Basin Park in Albuquerque, near where she lived prior to her death.

I have the honor and privilege to lead the prayer/candlelight vigil this evening at 7pm MST. This is not something I take lightly. I pray that He will use me to Honor Him and help shed light on how we can make a difference in our community and in others’ lives.

Yesterday, many of us participated in The Walk for Life for Care Net Pregnancy Centers. They are an organization that provide resources to families that have unexpected pregnancies, to help them keep their child or even help them find adoptive families.

As I reflect on these 2 events this weekend, I have been asking why this insanity would even happen. After all didn’t Jesus say “It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he would cause one of these little ones to stumble.” (Luke 17:2 [NASB])?

I then am reminded that we are living in a fallen world. In John 1 it says “John 1:10-13 (NKJV) He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

Jesus had to come down to be our Perfect Sacrifice. The problem, many reject(ed) Him.

Families think it is ok to have an abortion, because “It’s an inconvenience”, “The child may be better off”, “It’s not really human yet”, etc. But what about where it says in The Bible “Psalm 139:14 (NKJV): I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.” or “Jeremiah 1:5 (NKJV): ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.'”? Doesn’t that seem to say that from the day of conception we were/are human? Wouldn’t that make it murder?

In this particular case with Victoria, there seems that there are drugs, Meth, involved. People fall into addictions and do not even realize that they are causing chaos ro harm. They need to have deliverance before it is too late.

So, where is the hope for all of this? Surrender to Jesus. Not just to find Salvation but also so that He can use you to help others. So, that He can change you to get outside of your comfort zones. So, that He can bring Hope, Peace, Joy in our lives and others as well. We need to share Jesus boldly.

Don’t stay stuck in your box(es) Ask Him to use you. For those who are local or may know those who are here, be willing to bring comfort to those who are grieving this tragedy. Reach out to those families that are hurting. Reach out to those who are in need. Reach out to those who ma suffer from addictions. Be The Church.

Until next time:

Ezekiel 37:1-14New King James Version (NKJV)

The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”

So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.”

Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.”’”

So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.

Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”’” 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.

11 Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 14 I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’”
