Archeologist Post Photos of Biblical Mosaics

The Israel Antiquities Authority posted photographs this week of fascinating mosaics discovered while excavating a synagogue built during the Late Roman period (5th Century AD) in the ancient Jewish village of Huqoq in the Lower Galilee. The mosaics show scenes from the Bible including Noah’s Ark and the parting of the Red Sea. Several other mosaics depicting Biblical scenes had previously been uncovered.
