Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
This is Jesus’ commission/command to ALL believers/Christians. Did you notice how long we as believers are to do this? ” . . . even unto the end of the world.”
We have more believers today talking about the end coming, “Jesus’ coming”, than we do fulfilling the Great Commission (making disciples). Don’t forget, Jesus told us specifically when “the end” would be ushered in, and yes, things are looking as though it is very near (every 24 hours that pass is 24 hours closer), but Jesus made it very clear that the one thing that must happen before the end begins in earnest is Matthew 24:14 —
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
According to the “experts”, there are still approximately 600 people groups in the world who have not yet heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Let’s stop the worrisome predicting based on weather, wars, etc. and focus on the – Praying – Giving – Sending – Going – Telling – Discipling – Baptizing, and let Jesus worry about His timing. Work, work, work, until the day is done. Let’s go tell them! It is never over until God says it is over!
