The Palestinian Authority rejected an suggestion by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to hold direct talks in Paris under the auspices of the French government minutes after he made it Monday afternoon in a joint press conference with visiting French Prime Minister Manuel Valls. Valls is in Israel to brief leaders on a summit scheduled for 3 June in Paris to discuss a new French initiative on promoting an agreement between the two sides.
