“What Would You Have Me to Do?”

Jerry Calf“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”  (Matthew 7:7)

“But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”   (Matthew 19:26)

“Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.”  (James 4:3)

I could have added more Scriptures to this short list to set the stage for my question of challenge today, but these say what we need to remember.

First, God implores His children to pray asking

Second, God can do anything!

Lastly, we must ask with pure motives!

I use this title, “What Would You Have Me to Do?” to bring to your attention that our LORD awaits our desire, and asking, for His will to be enacted upon the earth in the lives of people everywhere.

Most of us have little problem asking God for things ranging from lost keys to the healing of seasonal sickness.   Of course, He is ready and more than able to help in things such as these.   However, what thing of magnitude are you seeking God to do in our world of need?  What big things are you asking God to accomplish for the world?     To reveal a cure for Cancer?     To save multitudes of Muslims?         To send revival to His Church?      To pour out Spiritual Awakening?

What big things are you asking God?

Ask, (and keep on asking), and it shall be given you; seek, (and keep on seeking), and ye shall find; knock, (and keep on knocking), and it shall be opened unto you.”

Pray big!    Pray without ceasing!   Pray On!
