If you’ve been keeping up with Pastor Dewey’s posts, you know that the movie, War Room, has had a significant impact on him and this ministry.

Prayer is a must for every believer.

We must pray to know our Father and to know Him is to know His word. The Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 6 about putting on the armor of God. We need to be suited up. Why? Because …

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might” (Ephesians 6:10 NKJV).

We do not have the strength in ourselves, but in the Lord and His might. Therefore, when we pray we must use God’s word. When we pray God’s word, God’s will is accomplished in our situations.

“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11 NKJV).

We must enter our personal war rooms with a strategy from God, in his strength and in his power.

Here are some scriptures for you to take with you into your war room:

Provision

“I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread” (Psalm 37:25).

“The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing” (Psalm 34:10).

Fleeing from Temptation

“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41)

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13)

“For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.” (Hebrews 2:18)

Healing

“Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget none of His benefits;
Who pardons all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases;
Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you with loving kindness and compassion;
Who satisfies your years with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.”
(Psalm 103:1-5 NASB)

“The Lord will protect him and keep him alive,
And he shall be called blessed upon the earth;
And do not give him over to the desire of his enemies.
The Lord will sustain him upon his sickbed;
In his illness, You restore him to health.” (Psalm 41:2-3 NASB)

“and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24 NASB)

Dealing with Anxiety

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:6-7)

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” (Matthew 6:34)

Hope

“Hope in the Lord and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it.” (Psalm 37:4 NIV)

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.” (Hebrews 11:1 NLT)

“Since we have such [glorious] hope (such joyful and confident expectation), we speak very freely and openly and fearlessly.” (2 Corinthians 3:12 AMP)

Wisdom

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” (James 1:5)

“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.” (James 3:17)

“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” (Ephesians 5:15-17)

“Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding.” (Proverbs 3:13)
