Weapon of Praise By Jeanne Theriault

In Acts 6:25-26 Here is a story about Paul and Silas who were unjustly arrested for they had cast a spirit of divination out of a girl. They were stripped and beaten and thrown into prison, and their feet were fastened in stocks which I’m sure clamped their arms and legs causing cramps and loss of circulation. It was dark, damp with no facility for waste or comfort of any kind.
Yet in spite of all that , at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing praise to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Then suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open and every body’s chains were loose.
Paul and Silas lifted there heart above their troubles and entered into God’s presence by giving him praise. God provided His Power in their circumstances.
When we praise God despite of our circumstances , we are affirming His power and victory in our lives. Then we can experience the suddenly when everything will be shaken and loosed and we will walk in victory Sometimes there will be others watching us on how we react in our situation, just like the prisoners when they heard Paul and Silas give praise to God and there families were saved. Let others see us offer praise and thanksgiving unto God in the midst of our trials so that they can see God’s power. There are two important results when we flow into praise. God receives glory, and our faith will increase and we will have joy in his presence.
Scriptures teaches us to put the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3) the constant wearing of it will ward of the spirit of depression, discouragement, despair, sickness, worry. God’s presence moves when we worship him. He did it for Paul and Silas, he can also do it for us. Praise is an expression of faith and a declaration of victory!
When God’s people begin to praise his name it sends the enemy running. I challenge you to become a person of praise and you will experience the Power of God in your lives.
David sang this song of praise 2 Samuel 22:4 I call to the Lord who is worthy of praise and I am save from my enemies 50 Therefore I will praise you O Lord among the nations I will sing praises to your name!
Hebrews 13:15 Through Jesus therefore let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise the fruit of lips that confess his name.
Lord as we give you praise in ever trails you will fill us with peace and joy for no matter what we go through you will be our suddenly where all things will be shaken off. Let us be the light that shines in the darkness let us continually give you praise and honor your name. Amen
