The Promises of God, Part 1

Today we begin a series of messages on “The Promises of God” Part 1. This series of messages is so very timely with the POWERBALL LOOT! I recently read a story of a man that promised to give millions to the city and state he lived in. But, at the time of his death, the only thing he owned was a 1983 Oldsmobile! This story is a powerful reminder that we can’t give away what we don’t have! This man did not have the resources he said he had….but God does! The first thing we should do is define the word: PROMISE….it is a declaration that one will do or refrain from doing something specific. Christian author, James MacDonald says, “A promise is the assurance that God gives His people so they can walk by faith while they wait for Him to work.”
