ICEJ NEWS: Police in manhunt for Tel Aviv shooter

Israeli police in action _Illustrative_At press time on Monday, the massive police operation to apprehend a suspect in the terror shooting attack last week which killed 2 and wounded 10 in Tel Aviv’s Dizengoff Street was ongoing. Large numbers of uniformed and undercover officers were deployed to the search for suspected shooter Nashat Milhem, 31, of Arara. His brother Juedat was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of involvement in the attack while his father issued a public apology, saying he didn’t raise his sons to be terrorists and couldn’t imagine why they’d acted this way. Meanwhile, jumpy residents of northern Tel Aviv neighborhoods have been keeping their children home from school and calling for police assistance at massively increased rates. In related news, two IDF soldiers were wounded in separate shooting attacks in Hebron on Sunday and there were a handful of unsuccessful attempts to carry out terrorist attacks elsewhere over the weekend. Read More >>
