Having a Christ Like Attitude By Jeanne Theriault

Jesus had a perfect attitude in every situation, because he prayed about everything and worried about nothing. Jesus attitude was never to become defensive, discouraged of depressed cause his heart wanted to please his Father rather then his own self. In the midst of trails He was patient, in his suffering he was hopeful, and humbled in the mist of ridicule and hostility.
1 Peter 2:23 When they hurled insults at him, he did not retaliate, when he suffered he made no threats. Instead he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.
Philippians 2 If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit but in humility consider others better than yourself 4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests but also to the interests of others.

In other words our attitude should reflect and focus on the needs and interests of others.
Ephesians 5:1 Be imitators of God, therefore as dearly loved children 2 and live a life of love just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrificed to God.
God wants us to have an attitude of love and caring for the concerns of others.
Ephesians 4:22 You were taught with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires. 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds. 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Paul speaks of having a Christ like attitude. God want us to become like him, taking on his values, his attitude, and his character.
We need to transform our minds into the attitude of Godliness, to grow spiritually, to become like Christ.
Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Walk in the fruit of the Spirit
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace ,patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.
Walk in Love
1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.7 It always protects always trust, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.
1 Peter 1:5 For this very reason make every effort to add to your faith goodness and to goodness knowledge 6 and to knowledge self control, and to self control, perseverance, and to perseverance , godliness 7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness and to brotherly kindness love . 8 For if you posses these qualities in increasing measure they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Lord help us to walk in the love of God
to put on the attitude of Christ and to remember that we need to renew our minds on a daily base. As we persevere in your love we can make a difference in someone life for it is not about us but it is about you working in us and through us. Thank you Lord
