What Does the C In Christmas Stand For?

Father, does it stand for caring? Let’s pray.

Phillipians 2:4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Galatians 6:2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Romans 12:10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.

Galatians 6:10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Proverbs 21:13   Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor will also cry out and not be answered.

James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Proverbs 19:17 Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord,  and he will reward them for what they have done.

Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ.

1 John 3:17-18  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

Matthew 25:40 The King will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

Proverbs 28:27 Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses.

Colossians 3:12  Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Father, thank you for caring hearts today. Lord so many will be busy today looking for the last minute gift to put under the Christmas tree. If only your people could wrap some of the best gifts and put under the tree (myself included) such as caring, compassion, gentleness, patience, kindness, a hug, a smile or a warm embrace. These kinds of gifts are priceless. To the lonely, we bring a visit, to the downcast we bring hope, to the hungry we share our food, to the evil we bring good, to the world we bring you.

Today, I pray people will choose to put a gift under the tree that is going to cost them something. This gift can’t cost money. This exchange will be with the Lord Jesus Christ Himself…to be more like Him. Amen

Have A Blessed Day, For this is the Day the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it. May your Christmas Eve be joyous.

Enjoy the greetings from Northern Maine.
