The Night Light for tonight is – Wait…
The verse Isaiah 40:31(NKJV) has always been one of my favorite verses but one I struggle with constantly. It says:
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
Read this verse carefully my friend…
Many times when we hear the word wait – we feel that waiting is a weakness. Being told to wait is difficult especially if you are a person of action. But like much of God’s word – this verse gives us a promise if we would but listen.
When we wait upon the Lord in a situation we may not know which way to go and we feel weary at the thought of dealing with it – Our Father God tells us our strength WILL be renewed. We will be able to move forward with God’s power above the situation as an eagle soars with power above the earth – IF we will but simply wait on Him.
Are you tired tonight of being weary? Are tired at feeling faint due to whatever it is you are facing? Then WAIT. Wait on the Lord as He holds you in the palm of His hand. Catch your breath and be renewed. Then be ready when HE gives the word – AND SOAR.
