He Knows Me…I’m Not Really A Pumpkin

Today, let’s thank the Lord for the blessing of children.

Psalm 100:1-8 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness;  come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Luke 18:16 But Jesus called the children to him and said, Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

Matthew 18:1-3 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”  He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them.  And he said: Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 19:13 Then some children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Father, thank you for the blessing of children. Today,we pray for all the children around this globe. We pray God they will be taught the ways of the Lord at a young age. We pray for your Word to take root in their little hearts. May they grow into strong men and women of the Lord.

Jesus you said in Psalm 103:17 But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children.

We pray for safety, protection and love for every child, oh God. Meet every need they have according to your riches in glory.

Today, we will bless a child. Every reader today will give away a hug, a smile or whatever the assignment from heaven might be. (Listen up, he’s going to tell you.) God use us today to be that blessing.

There is no child left behind in your Kingdom, for your Word says the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them. Oh, how you love the children. Nothing is impossible, show yourself strong and mighty on their behalf today we pray. Amen
