ICEJ NEWS: Russia eager to invest in Iran
Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told Iranian Telecommunications Minister Mahmoud Vaezi during a visit to Tehran Thursday that his government is working towards opening a credit line of $5 billion to allow the Islamic Republic to finance joint infrastructure projects. Novak was in Teheran at the head of a delegation of 50 large Russian business concerns “ready to invest in Iran,” he said, adding that Iran is Russia’s “most important economic and trade partner.”
