Learning to walk in God’s love

Ephesians5:1-2 Therefore be followers of God as dear children. And walk in love as Christ also has loved us and given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
Walking in love is a choice not an emotion. Jesus showed his love for us when he was nailed to the cross, shed his blood for us. The characteristic of love is found in Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience , kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
The character of God is love, the character of man is self. The first fruit of the spirit is love, so without love , none of the others are possible. Love is the ultimate test for being a true follower of Christ. John 13:34 A new command I give you, love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
First love the Lord, love yourself, love and serve one another. Selfishness is the foundation of fear. Love is the foundation of faith. Jesus continually walked in the love of God, always reaching out to meet peoples needs. Love never fails, love cast out fear.
Walking in love is not base on feelings , but a decision on God’s word . Romans 12:10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another.

Thank you Lord for your love may your love flow through us to give and to serve others as you gave of yourself. To remember that it is not base on our emotion but for who you are , love never fails.
