“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. 8 They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8, NLT)

I hope you have been following along this week with these different steps God has given me to bring to you. If not, I encourage you to go back to Sunday and read each day. He’s bringing you out, He’s calling you out, He’s sending you out, and the next step is, He is planting you.

You’ve gone through all of the steps and you’ve agreed to be sent out, as He sends you out He’s going to plant you. Being sent and being planted is kind of a combined step. How is He going to plant you? He’s going to plant you in a solid church that has solid teaching with people who will accept your gifting’s and support you in the call you have. He’s going to plant you with people who will encourage to step out and go where God sends you.

Being planted is very important. It gets you through tough times, it gets you through heat and drought. When you’re planted you always have a fresh word and you are always fruitful in what you are doing. The heat will come, drought will happen, but if you’re planted you won’t die. If you are planted along the same riverbank as others, your roots intertwine with each other and help to hold each other up. When the rains come and the winds blow you’re hooked to one another and you won’t blow over.

As God sends you, He’s going to plant you. As I said, the step of sending and planted is like one step. As you are planted you are sent. God desires to see you grow in your calling but in order to grow, your roots need to reach deep into the water. That means you need connections that feed you. You need people around you who are speaking into your life, who encourage you in your calling. The more you hear confirmation and encouragement of what you’re doing the deeper your roots go and the more solid you become. Now, don’t be mistaken, the responsibility of being planted doesn’t fall solely on others, they play a part but you must take initiative. You must also feed yourself, you must study, and you must focus on what you’re called to do. You must completely saturate your roots in God.

God is planting you and you are going to be stronger than ever.
