In the Morning when I Rise, by Karen Rowe August 30, 2015
Good morning dear readers! I hope this is a blessing to you! I am just waking up with my 1st cup of coffee; and as I look out my window, I think of that childhood commercial that to my knowledge still rings true! “The Best Part of waking up is Folgers in my cup.” Why is this? –and why do I begin with saying this? Because we serve a God of miracles who overwhelms us with His love! So, in the morning when I rise, I pray and spend time with God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit; and I spend time filling my spirit with the Word of God.
Sunday morning when I began this, I was sitting outside. Yesterday morning, I woke to the sound of rain! This morning it is still dark outside and I am preparing to begin my Tuesday. No matter what the day may hold, God has His message to us to hold us in our day! Yesterday morning, I heard the Holy Spirit of the Lord speak these words to me: “Do what Jesus says, and watch what God will do!” Remember the value of patience and wait, but remember we serve a God of miracles!
Sometimes, during our day, it may seem like things are going all wrong, but may I encourage you that God is not surprised. In each trial or test we go through, there is also an opportunity to learn what Jesus would do and experience what God will do!
Yesterday, more revelation from the Holy Spirit brought to my immediate remembrance of the two below Scriptures.
I believe these two Scriptures should be placed right here, because if you read on, Sunday morning, I was writing about the Unity in Creation. Then, the Spirit nudges me to say, “Do what Jesus says and watch God move!” God will provide to enable us to do the right thing in God’s eyes. Life is not about being right –but about WHO is: God. God’s Righteousness goes before us and God’s way is a powerful thing to know and follow! God’s Way is Spirit.
The Temple Tax …Matthew 1:26-27
When Peter said, “From strangers,” Jesus said to him, “Then the sons are exempt.
27“However, so that we do not offend them (to avoid causing offense), go to the sea and throw in a hook, and take the first fish that comes up; and when you open its mouth, you will find a shekel. Take that and give it to them for you and Me.”
Jesus Calls His First Disciples Luke 5:4-7
4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”
5 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”
6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.
Life with Christ is not about fighting to be right; or fighting to fit in –life with Christ is knowing how to live with God in the miracle of life through Jesus.
Throughout the Bible, we can compare Scripture to Scripture and learn how the Word of God guides us how to live this life by Grace! The Word of God teaches us how to survive in this world after the miracle through Jesus. By believing in Jesus and seeking understanding according to what Jesus has given us: His Name, His Authority and His Compassion!
Looking out the window to see God’s Grace is good, but you may have heard me say before that experiencing life with God is more! Hearing about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Word of God is good, but experiencing life application in your personal life with God is more! God is literally revealing life to us –even through His Creation that life is more than we can see with our natural eyes! Life is to be experienced!
Sunday morning, I sit down with God –the Best part of waking up; and wrote:
I opened the door and stood still to be amazed this morning –just as I do about every day that I open the door to see what God has to offer on each brand new day! I prayed and asked God permission to write about what I see in His Creation and how His Holy Spirit enables my spirit to experience life fully with God.
Wow, we can experience life with God, who is our Creator; and through believing in Jesus, God is our Father who lives near to us in Heaven.
The first thing I noticed was the unity in Creation! Simultaneously, I also noticed that I was welcome in this unity! Not a creature that was stirring seemed to mind that I had joined in! The horses stood still just swishing their tails as though they are partaking in the same beauty as I am enjoying –just watching creation move in the morning!
The next thing that I noticed was a beautiful little blue bird sitting on the limb of a tree that was like a bicycle build for two! And, a smaller bird amused me in its morning activities as it hopped down the tree bark “loopy loop” in a downward angle –only to hop back up again. Perhaps it was eating an army of ants and was following its trail? Yet, what amazed me the most was the unity in God’s Creation!
The Holy Spirit gave me a revelation this morning to share with you. He said, in the world there is division and the world paints a picture of division. He reminded me of the worldly stories about nature I’ve heard of how the cat and dog fight and don’t get along. Well in our home, this is simply not true! The world paints a nature picture that the wild is somehow out to get man, but that is simply not true.
Man has believed more about the division in the world than about The Creation in Christ. There is a Unity from God that is built in Creation –and yes, a Wisdom that comes down from Heaven that is available to us at all times –if we seek, we will find all we need to survive in this world after the miracle through Jesus.
I am not sitting among a den of hungry bears this morning knowing that these bears have been known to attack humans, but think outside the world’s box for a moment and just look at the unity in Creation! And, before we move on, also remember the story of Daniel who WAS thrown into the Lion’s Den! Daniel would not bow away from praying to The Living God; nor was he willing to even spare his life to bow down to an idol! God sent an angel(s) (one or more? I would have to read, perhaps you can share your portion?) to shut the lion’s mouths! If God calls us to it, he will go before us providing our way. Be attentive to God’s will and follow Jesus. The Spirit will whisper truths to you to protect you …
Now, I don’t have it all figured out, but God does … Follow Jesus! This my motto. Yet, I experience God reveal His love through His Creation! God is over all things and the Holy Spirit is our guide, comfort, help and shield. We can trust a faithful God –yet, who we listen to affects our trust in Him. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God! This is how we build ourselves up in our most holy faith. And, to just to toss this important question in here: Have you heard your voice read the Word of God out loud? What does it sound like to hear your voice reading the Word of God –How does it affect your faith? How does it make you feel?
Unity: The same Creator that created Creation –also made you! You were woven together by God in your mother’s womb on purpose by God. You have purpose! Your purpose is to know and believe in the love that God has for you! God is love and he who abides in love, abides in God and God in him. [Do you have time to find that Scripture’s address in your Bible? –Underline it and meditate on it.] Your purpose is to learn about God and Jesus and the Word of God to first enjoy life in your relationship with God –and also at appointed times to share the portion of your faith that is in this life (your gifts) that you have been given by God; to help another along their way.
Division: Sin has entered the world –and we all need Jesus. Sin is anything that we willfully do that God has revealed to us that is against HIS will. Sin is anything not done in faith, even worry. The spirit of division comes at us, but we have the ability in Jesus to recognize anything contrary to God’s Word; and the power given to us in Christ to reject any and all disturbances that come to us to break the bond of Peace that Jesus has left for us to enjoy. As a result of in believing in the Son’ Name we can seek to find Peace and Unity in Jesus Christ. Fear, confusion, agitation and frustration may come AT you or TO you with a purpose to make you emotionally FEEL distant from God’s love and helpless, but how you react is the test of your obedience to God –the test of your faith to strengthen you. These are opportunities to seek God’s will, trust Him and find security in Christ and your ability in your growing relationship with God.
The ways of the world are many, but the Way of God is found in His Spirit. Jesus is not just merely a truth-teller; Jesus came as the Truth to represent God to us; His Love for us! Jesus came to us by God’s divine nature! Jesus is the Truth, the Way and the Life! Jesus demonstrated a life with God that is a reality.
Being near the Creator in His Creation is a place we can build our faith in the same God who does miraculous work inside our soul when we believe –and do not doubt in the spirit of Truth, which is called our heart! It is Holy Spirit living in our believing spirit –the Holy Spirit living in every believer that enables Unity in the Church and in Creation. There is a resting peace, serenity and tranquility that is from God –the gifts of Jesus! I can’t help but to think I am not the only one who finds that special and unique feeling that ignites something alive within our core being that we sometimes forget is living there.
In closing, we can see a horse and notice the beauty. But to open the door to experience the touch can remind us that we all need a touch from God! Is the door to your heart open to God? Is your Window open to allow God’s Grace to flow in? Knowledge is good, but to comprehend is to experience walking to the fence and finding the serenity of God is awaiting to be found. Peace in Christ is available; and there is Unity in His Creation! Reach out and brush your hand across the softest part of a horse’s created nose –in that dip on the cheek side of a horses face. This is my favorite part of a horse to experience to softeness; it always has been! Look into the eyes of the horse to find a place that you will know you fit in to enjoy Creation with God, and reach out and stroke the neck of a horse to experience a tantazing feeling of life’s zest for joy! With your mind on Christ, experience a revelation from God that can awake your senses to realize that looking from a distance and quickly passing by cannot deliver what God has waiting for you, which is to experience a purposeful life with Him! We must open the door that God has set before us and walk to the fence –or to that place that God is revealing to you! Jesus is the gate to life with God –He is the bridge over sin for us. Don’t just look at life –use the gate (believe); and come to God in the Way that you know He is calling you to come to Him.
Oh my yes, spiritual discernment is needed! That is why I am sharing about Creation. We live in a world that has worldly ways, but God’s Way is spiritual! Get your own revelation from God and experience life with Him! Experience that place of unity that you know you fit in –and you know that God is near!
Stop and smell Creation and hear the sounds of the air! Watch the birds take flight and Lord willing see a fawn bed down right before your weary eyes! Be keenly aware to see a tiny and naturally camofloged fawn as it toddles beside your busy office window. Take time and look: Ask, Seek, Knock … Be available to someone who may point it out to you! Creation is filled with wonderful sights! Be available to be amazed to see a fawn protected and lay down in a place it feels safe!
Only if we seek, will we see; and only if we hear will we expect; and only if we know all things are possible with God that we are able to see these spiritual things God’s reveals in revelation to us –according to His Word and by His Holy Spirit. By God’s Creation, as a fawn blends perfectly in, so does Christ cover you that so do you fit in the family of God! A fawn is protected by its own beauty –and known only to its momma by scent (I think?)! But the point is, Do you know your inner beauty is God? God knows you! He wants a relationship with you. Ask yourself, do I know God? God is love. –What is love?
Life for us is found in God’s arms that are extended to us in revelations through His Creation in the simplest forms –look at the seasons and the flower’s blooms! How much more … –God does love you!
There is a spiritual beauty, peace and Wisdom of Christ alive and living in a believer’s soul. Your soul will decide what you choose to believe and who you choose to follow. I hope this inspires and encourages you to grow deeper in your relationship with God; or perhaps to meet God where you are and follow and pursue Jesus. The Holy Spirit will direct your path and help you keep them straight. Jesus won’t do it for us, but He has told us how and He is our help and shield. We have a soul who decides … (mind, intelligence and emotions) and a spirit who longs to know God. Fill your spirit and let your mind hear the Word of God out loud! This is powerful to your soul!

Continue on my friend in Christ, find rest in your faith in the arms of Jesus and take courage to walk in faith –knowing God’s will for you is good! Open the pages of God’s Word to learn God’s path for you! I hope this is a blessing to you today! Love, Karen
