I got this note from my Dear Friend Rick Carson Wrisley. I know him as Carson on the radio, as we worked together in the 80’s and 90’s at WCMR radio in Elkhart, Indiana. Rick sent me this note Sunday night, I’m just getting the opportunity to post this now! Rick turned 70 yesterday! It is a note from a man of God, grateful for his life…………

So tomorrow when I wake up I will no longer be in my 60’s. Certainly a time when one reflects on their mortality. A dear Pastor friend of mine, Dave Paape, once talked about one’s passing by saying he was “excited about the destination but not looking forward to the trip”. I concur. How sad for the 23 percent of Americans who identity as atheists or agnostics for they literally have no hope. I am assured that I will dwell in the house of the Lord for all eternity. And what’s amazing is there is no one less deserving than me. Go figure. For nearly 46 years I have been blessed with the most awesome wife. Brenda has been my best friend for all these years and I love her more everyday. The riches that Brenda and I enjoy cannot be measured in dollars and cents but in joy and happiness. Two fine sons, three incredible grandchildren and many wonderful friends. I have many blessings to count. That you dear Lord for everything.

Thank you for sharing Rick! Happy Birthday, Man of God! We love you and your wonderful Godly wife Brenda!
