It’s Tuesday, August 18, 2015 and I have now had a couple of days to process all that went on at the Reserve Revival…I am totally convinced it was more of a blessing for Dan & I than for the people of Reserve, New Mexico. I can now understand the apostle Paul’s love for the people he met as he traveled from place to place to preach. I can fully understand what it means to be so touched by a community that my heart broke to leave and I am looking forward to returning to see them once more.
As we made our way up to Reserve, New Mexico on Friday August 14, we were amazed at how different and amazing the landscape gets as you get further into the Gila National Forest. It felt like we were in another state! What a beautiful part of New Mexico to live in. We had just gone through a couple of weeks of working hard 24/7 in an attempt to get our new Internet Radio Station – The HUB of New Mexico up and running smoothly before we left since we knew we would be back on a Sunday and technicians do not work on Sundays, at least not the ones one have been dealing with. Considering we were supposed to be up and running early Monday morning after we got back we were scrambling to get it all done before we left. So driving into the haven of Catron County was a God send – 2 days away that were much needed.
We met a wonderful and loving family at the Reserve Baptist Church, host of the FGGAM Revival – was going to take place – named the Dempsey family – you know like Patrick – as Stacey told me. Joe and Stacey were the couple that greeted us and took very good care of us making us meals while we were there and welcoming us with open arms. Their precious children – Tyler, Isaac, and Regan were such blessings to us and also took care of us and welcomed us. I have to say our conversations with these amazing young people was a highlight in our time there.
The people who made it to the Revival came from all over Reserve and different churches. They were all so encouraging and loving and blessed us tremendously! They showered us with love and the unity we saw there made our hearts so very happy. I made new sisters in Christ – Sheri, Beverly, Lori, Cathy and many others that continuously lifted my Spirit and made me feel like I had known these precious sisters all my life!
Our team was composed of Pastor Dewey Moede from FGGAM, who spoke several times. If you have not heard this man preach you have been missing out of a great blessing. Pastor Paul Holt from the 1st Baptist Church in Magdalena preached also and is a phenomenal Bible Teacher! Both of these great men of God are ministry partners with our radio station The HUB of New Mexico and you can hear both of the them as they share their hearts on our station at The HUB of New Mexico.
Another great man of God, Rick Stambaugh. of FGGAM, also spoke from his heart and blessed us with his unfailing trust in our Savior! Rick has cancer but is living in the Spirit as he trusts in Our Lord. As he said, he WILL be healed. Maybe not here on earth but most certainly in Heaven in the presence of our Lord. My precious husband, Dan Rosecrans, spoke also and shook the house with his message on America and its roots. I was honored to be asked to give my testimony and then to preach the next day on who I am in Christ.
Sabrina Parrish Jackson blessed us with her sweet voice in praise and worship throughout the entire event. What a gift this mighty woman of God has and how she ministers to the hearts of God’s people. As an extra honor we were blessed to also hear from Pastor Gerald Hardesty, Pastor of the Church of Christ in Reserve. We also heard from Pastor Keith Riddle as he shared his heart.
On Saturday night, Pastor Dewey had everyone come up to the front and pray for us as we prepared to launch our Radio Station. David Schumm from the Baptist Church in Reserve started it off by calling us Paul and Barnabas and blessed us as we embarked on our Missionary Journey through the land of New Mexico.
Like I said before, Dan & I were the ones that were blessed. We were the ones ministered to and we were the ones that received a gift in the form of a community of believers that shared their hearts and their lives with us.
Reserve, New Mexico will ALWAYS hold a special place in our hearts and when we think of that community our hearts will be filled with joy and our minds will be filled with memories of the Saints of RESERVE, NEW MEXICO.
Pastor Dewey Moede Note: Thank you Laura and Dan! We are so very blessed by this report and by your ministry! FGGAM is so also blessed by being ministry partners with you on New Mexico’s first Christian internet radio station, The HUB of New Mexico! History for God! Amen!
The Revival was capped off with the Baptism of Amanda Littleton and her two precious daughters, Hayden and Bailey. PTL! PTL!
If your Church or community is interested in FGGAM and The HUB of New Mexico and our other ministry partners holding a Revival please email me, firstname.lastname@example.org we will travel for world for God. We are praying over these four communities, Windom, Minnesota, Sidney, Montana, Surprise, Arizona and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. These are the four communities God has placed on my heart.
Please keep us all in your prayers! We love you all!
One final note, This Revival that was for God, it was all Holy Spirit driven, was an example of what can happen when the Church, the Body of Christ, other ministries, other churches, Pastors and people from other Churches, come together for our Lord Jesus Christ! UNITY! UNITY! UNITY IN THE BODY OF CHRIST! NOW THAT IS REVIVAL! AMEN! PTL!
There is POWER for GOD in the UNITY of the BODY!
Ephesians 4: 2-4……..teaches us……….Unity in the Body
…2with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, 3being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling;…
