Netanyahu Conducts Conference Call on Iran

Netanyahu (Israel GPO photograph)Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the leadership of American Jewish groups in a video conference call Tuesday, urging them to contact their elected officials and oppose the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) regarding Iran’s renegade nuclear program. During his remarks, Netanyahu declared that Israel’s political leadership was united in its opposition to the deal and urged American Jewish leaders to follow this example, in an apparent reference to recent statements that debate over the issue is causing deep divisions among Jewish communities in the US.
