“I will send my terror ahead of you and create panic among all the people whose lands you invade. I will make all your enemies turn and run. 28 I will send terror ahead of you to drive out the Hivites, Canaanites, and Hittites. 29 But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals would multiply and threaten you. 30 I will drive them out a little at a time until your population has increased enough to take possession of the land. 31 And I will fix your boundaries from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, and from the eastern wilderness to the Euphrates River. I will hand over to you the people now living in the land, and you will drive them out ahead of you.” (Exodus 23:27-31, NLT)

“I’ll send my Terror on ahead of you and throw those peoples you’re approaching into a panic. All you’ll see of your enemies is the backs of their necks. 28 “And I’ll send Despair on ahead of you. It will push the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites out of your way. 29 I won’t get rid of them all at once lest the land grow up in weeds and the wild animals take over. 30 Little by little I’ll get them out of there while you have a chance to get your crops going and make the land your own. 31 I will make your borders stretch from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea and from the Wilderness to the Euphrates River. I’m turning everyone living in that land over to you; go ahead and drive them out.” (Exodus 23:27-31, The Message)

If you’ve been reading this series on Battle Plans each day you will see a common thread. Notice how in each one God is giving instruction, but ultimately, He is doing the work. We all, including myself, are guilty of wanting to take care of situations and circumstances ourselves when God is saying, “Let Me take care of it.” Like a father in the natural would step in to defend his children, our Heavenly Father steps in to defend His children. If one of my daughters was dealing with people in their lives who were giving them trouble, I would tell them to step aside and not worry about it, I’ll take care of your enemies. How much more does our Perfect Father in Heaven step in and say, “Don’t worry about it, I’ll take care of your enemies.”

In today’s Battle Plan God is going to go before you and throw your enemies in to a panic. He will completely confuse your enemies. How does He confuse your enemies? He does things in your life that are completely contrary and the opposite of how things appear. The enemy comes in and causes things to take place in your life and God goes before you and turns those things around to the point that it confuses the enemy. He will make your enemies turn and run, all you will see of your enemies is the backs of their necks!

In our lives when we are dealing with a battle we would like it to just go away immediately, and sometimes God intervenes and it does, but many times it does not. Like in the passage above, little by little God will remove the enemies in your life while you have a chance to build things back up in your life. In the end God is going to spread out your boundaries and every enemy in your way will be turned over to you!

Be encouraged today, God is confusing your enemies. Your enemies are about to turn and run!
