Make Your Voice Heard – Here In America, ‘In God We Still Trust’ – Happy Independence Day !

As I watch many today, including myself, become more and more discouraged to see the direction our great country seems to be headed in over the last few years we seem to have become rather discouraged about the future of our country. I have to admit, as heavily a patriotic American as I am, I have become discouraged to the point that when asked to do an Independence Day post, I had difficulty sitting down to do one.

But then, I keep remembering that what we built this great nation on has a greater purpose and is a part of a much greater plan than any of us can completely comprehend and I do not believe it is over!

This morning, a very dear friend and Sister-In-Christ, Cheryl Harris, whom I’ve never met in person but have become very close to over social media, put up a post with a video today, (below), and it reinvigorates my hope and dreams for the future of this great country and inspired me to sit down and jot some thoughts.

Just as the song in this video implies, we must stand strong in our Lord and as one of my great and beloved Pastors, Pastor Dewey Moede, who founded this wonderful ministry and website says, and I back him up on it daily, AMERICA, GOD HAS ALREADY BLESSED YOU, IT IS NOW TIME FOR AMERICA TO BLESS GOD !!!

I was also reminded in another article I read the other day of something that was rather inspirational.

“But what do we mean by the American Revolution? Do we mean the American war? The Revolution was effected before the war commenced. The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments, of their duties and obligations. … This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people was the real American Revolution.
– John Adams (1813)

And thus it remains “in the minds and hearts” of Patriots to this day.

On this day, as a career veteran myself, while we honor and celebrate those who did, still do, and will continue to, protect us through their fight for our freedoms, our liberties, our rights and our ability to continue the pursuit of happiness and we celebrate our independence and liberty, we should all honor and pray for each other and all of our fellow citizens as well. It is “We The People…” for whom we fight who are just as responsible for our ‘greatness’. It is the farmer, the baker, the butcher, the builder, the small business owner, and so many other great Americans who built the very fabric of this great nation and we must initiate a new effort to regain mutual respect for each other regardless of race, creed, color, or political beliefs. GODLY THOUGHTS AND GODLY ACTIONS BRING GODLY RESULTS AND WITH GOD AS OUR GUIDE, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE !

I ask you all today, to join me in prayer for our Patriots in uniform … Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen … and all who stand in harm’s way in defense of our Liberty. Pray also for their families who make a significant sacrifice themselves supporting our servicemen and servicewomen! In addition, we must pray our country, our countrymen and women, return to the very beliefs upon which this country was founded and for each other.

pledge of allegiance

Please remember, it is not just the 4th of July, a picnic and fireworks day, it is INDEPENDENCE DAY !!!

As we all celebrate across our ‘GREAT NATION’ today …

We all here at For God’s Glory Alone Ministries, wish you a Happy and Safe Independence Day !

God Bless You One and All !!!
