Have a CUP With Pastor Dewey, Please, News and Prayer

Dear Family of FGGAM,

We send our love to you all.

FGGAM QUOTE of The Day From Pastor Dewey: Life is short, don’t sip! Submerge yourself in our Lord Jesus Christ!

Do you have a life verse? Mine is…..My life is worth nothing unless I use it for the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus. Acts 20:24

From The Message Bible…….Living for God……….

1 Peter 4 [Full Chapter]
[ Learn to Think Like Him ] Since Jesus went through everything you’re going through and more, learn to think like him. Think of your sufferings as a weaning from that old sinful habit of always expecting to get your own way. Then you’ll be able to live out your days free to pursue what God wants instead of being tyrannized by what you want. You’ve already put in your time in that God-ignorant way of life, partying night after night, a drunken and profligate life. Now it’s time to be done with it for good. Of course, your old friends don’t understand why you don’t join in with the old gang anymore. But you don’t have to give an account to them. They’re the ones who will be called on the carpet—and before God himself. …

Many have asked about the CUP! But all understand that the Lord sets my days. We have two marriages that are in critical care. Please pray for Rick and his wife and Richard and his wife.

Counseling is taking much of our time of late and getting ready for the Revival in Reserve August 14, 15, and 16. Please cover this in your prayers. Please pray about a love offering for the Revival to help with travel, food, etc…for all of our speakers.

Please pray for me as I Preach this Sunday at the Baptist Church in Reserve.

Please also pray for Naomi, she is fighting depression and anxiety.

Please pray for Mable Lopez and her family. Mabel’s Mom is having medical challenges.

Please pray for Reno, our  beagle, he has a cancerous growth that is going to be removed Friday. Thank you!

Please pray for FGGAM as we come up on our 3rd Birthday! We give thanks to the Lord! WOW! I have received such an education in the last 3 years! The Lord has taught me much! It has been so challenging but also such a blessing! Amen! Sharon and I have become even closer since going into full-time ministry. Sharon and I thank our faithful Board Members.

We have had extra expenses in the last month (New Web Site and labor) and  June and July are very dry……giving is at a stand still. These months are usually slow as people go on vacation, so I understand, but I do get a bit sad when we don’t hear from anybody! I also know when I ask here, not many give, I have learned to rely on my Lord, at the same time it is only fair for you to know the situation. Even with more readers giving is down. My flesh still comes out and I begin to worry and a bit sad. I pray we are worthy of your support. We do thank our faithful supporters, without you we would not be here. Please keep us in your prayers…….

It is very remarkable what ther Lord has done here, we are growing in ministry…the ministry the Lord has given us to look after, we are serving more people through counseling and preaching, growing in readers at FGGAM and we are doing it with very, very little money. Most weeks we work 7 days…..here in July that has changed a bit with Lars home from Chicago for a bit and Sharon on 2 weeks vacation, so I have taken time off. I am asked when we are going to get our own Church, our own building, etc……we operate out of our home and all our writers from their locations. People want us to start a Church, but the Lord says no. There are enough Churches.

Please pray over FGGAM,  The Revival in Reserve, Rick and his wife, Richard and his wife, Naomi, and Mabel’s family and Reno! We pray the healing of Jesus Christ over all!

I have been doing the CUP for 17 years, so it is hard not do do it. But I have to do what the Lord is showing me to do each day. The closer I grow to my Lord, I hear Him and follow Him, even when I do not understand. I believe the Lord will have me do the CUP at least twice a week.

Yesterday An Albuquerque police officer was stopped on our street and he thanked me for taking care of our property! He said the yard looks wonderful! I was out mowing.  He, like me believes in the broken window theory. Gotta keep our neighborhoods clean! Broken windows, litter and unkept property attracts crime. My Daddy taught me long ago to take care of what God has given me, my life, my health, my family, my friends, my work, my home, neighbors, my Church family, and all the blessings God has given me. It seems to me in this busy world people are constantly on Facebook, my posts are automatic from FGGAM, constantly on the phone, texting, etc…people are forgetting the foundations of life. We take so much for granted. Sharon and I live in a neighborhood where people help people. I am always sadden when I get a house call for help, that so many people do not know their neighbors! How sad! One of our neighbors, Mike, goes around spraying for weeds, not only on his property but ours and in the street! We have John who helps me keep our lawn mower running! Our neighbors pray for each other. We must remember revival starts with you and me, in our homes and neighborhoods! Amen! Don’t wait for your Church to start a revival, start on in your own home and neighborhood! What a blessing it will be! Amen! Start a revival in your home and neighborhood today! I sing praises to our Lord out in the yard when I am working! Try it! be Blessed and you will be a blessing!

Psalm 147:1 teaches us……..Praise the LORD. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him!

Until next time, God Bless you and yours forever and ever, Dewey and Sharon
