VIDEO REPORT: Jihadist Factions Move Closer to Israel’s Northern Border

ICEJ NEWS REPORTS:

Jihadist factions inching towards Israel’s northern border
There were some alarming developments on Israel’s northern border Thursday, as the regime of Syrian president Bashar Assad lost control of a military airport in Sweida province and rebels shot down a regime warplane nearby. The area is the traditional home of part of Syria’s Druze community, which has been a long-time loyal ally of the regime and which now faces revenge attacks by anti-regime rebel factions, including jihadist groups like the Islamic State and Al-Nusra Front, which reportedly carried out a massacre of 20 Druze residents in the village of Qalb Loze in Idlib province this week. Israeli Druze leaders have called on the government to assist their brethren in Syria and Lebanon.
