Israel and The Nations!

Israel and the Nations!
The nation of Israel continues to face unfair criticism around the world, and the poison of anti-Semitism is spreading once again against the Jewish people. At times, it seems the only ones truly standing with Israel and the Jews are Bible-believing Christians in countries across the globe. But even there, some reports have surfaced claiming that many Christians are turning their backs on Israel and siding with the Palestinians. Yet is that really the case? Are Evangelical Christians truly abandoning the pro-Israel cause? Not according to one Christian leader who constantly travels the globe and speaks in churches far and wide. Rev. Juha Ketola serves as the International Director for the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, and in recent years he has been traveling from one continent to another, meeting with hundreds of pastors and preaching about Israel to multitudes of Christians. And he has a different perspective on whether Christians are losing their love and fire for Zion. So just what has he seen and experienced in churches worldwide when it comes to Israel? Are most Evangelicals still standing with the Jewish state and people? Or is that traditional support base starting to erode? And what has been his message to these churches about Israel? Israel and the Nations! That’s our focus this week here on Front Page Jerusalem. We’ll hear from ICEJ International Director Rev. Juha Ketola about what he has been seeing and experiencing first-hand in churches all around the world concerning Christian support for Israel. And he’ll also tell us the message which God has been having him preach in these critical times concerning Israel and her future destiny.

Juha Ketola serves as International Director for the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem. And he says the Evangelical Christians he is encountering worldwide know the importance of Israel in our day and are standing with the Jewish state and people as never before. Next Week on FRONTPAGE JERUSALEM
The Pope and Palestine!
This past week, the Vatican announced that it had reached an agreement with the “State of Palestine” concerning the status of Catholic properties in the Holy Land. The move was criticized by Israeli officials, who described it as a premature decision which would only encourage the Palestinians to continue avoiding direct peace talks with Jerusalem. And to make matters worse, Pope Francis then hosted Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas in Rome, where he welcomed him by calling him an “angel of peace”. This also upset many Israeli leaders, who view Abbas as actually doing everything he can to block a negotiated peace with Israel. So both moves have raised some serious questions about the Vatican’s agenda, such as why did they recognize a Palestinian state at this time? What does the agreement with the Palestinians actually contain? Will it make it harder to now renew direct peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians? And has Mahmoud Abbas truly been working for peace between the two sides? The Pope and Palestine! That’s our focus next week here on Front Page Jerusalem. We’ll hear from a leading Israeli expert on the Vatican about the significance of the recent agreement between the papacy and the Palestinian Authority. Our special guest will be Rabbi David Rosen, who oversees interfaith activities for the American Jewish Committee and is also known as the ‘Pope’s Rabbi.’
