Factories Shut Down for Revival in Indiana!! Third Great Awakening? By David Maddox

How would you explain when 24 factories in a community shut down for an hour to give their employees an opportunity to gather and be prayed for and have the Gospel shared with them?  How would you explain when 12 public schools offer an excused absence to students who want to take a day to go out into their community and pray for the people they encounter?  How would you explain when multiple local churches of different denominations join together daily to pray, to take the Gospel into their communities, and to gather in the evenings for a time to celebrate what God has done and to hear His Word boldly proclaimed?  How would you explain when a little ministry with a permanent staff of nine from Dallas, Texas comes at the invitation of local churches for a six day prayer and training event January 6th that has yet to end with thousands participating daily and which God has now expanded from a single community to seven cities in different parts the state?  How do you explain when 30 pastors from the initial community go by bus to Chicago to meet with over 100 pastors who invited them to come so that they could hear what God is doing in their community?  How do you explain when in another of those communities major factories grant access to employee break rooms for 24 hours so that all employees may have an opportunity to be prayed for and to hear the Gospel?  How do you explain when people from across the country are coming for a week or more to join in what God is doing?  How do you explain when three meals are served to all who come and despite all the expenses incurred – every dime needed has been provided?  How do you explain when food is ordered for 500 and it feeds 1,500?  How do you explain when those who come from other states are taken in and housed by Believers in the cities thankful for their coming to help them grow and be a part of sharing the Gospel in their communities?  How do you explain when pastors from other states and countries come to see for themselves what God is doing in this place?  How do you explain when lives are changed – people saved – prodigals who have fallen away return to their faith – churches are encouraged and grow – and national attention begins to be focused  on what God is doing there and clearly desires to do across the country?

Thus far this movement has included Elkhart, Goshen,  Kokomo, and Bloomington, Indiana.Revive Indiana  As this is being written preparations are underway for the move to a focus this week in South Bend, Indiana May 24-30; Northwest, Indiana June 8-20; Terre Haute, Indiana June 22-27; and Fort Wayne, Indiana July 6-11.  Believers involved in the earlier cities are joining in the new cities to train and help and go out to share Jesus’ love.  Numerous other cities in other states have asked for the ministry to come to their town, and invitations from cities in other countries are also coming in.  God’s people want to be involved in His movement through His people.  The remnant knows that time is short and they want to be a part of the great move of God which Jesus promised before He returns (Matthew 24:14).

Is this revival?  Will a Third Great Awakening follow?  Only God knows the answer to these questions but He has made it clear by doing what only He can do that whatever you want to call it – this is His movement and it has only begun.  The ministry God is using to lead is Time to Revive which in the states where they are sent work with church leaders to form a local organization which simply has the word “Revive” attached to the state or city.  So for what I have been describing the local organization is “Revive Indiana”.  The leader of Time to Revive is Kyle Lance Martin, a young man God put His hand on eight years ago with a vision to help prepare the Church for Christ’s return.  The leadership of Revive Indiana are local Pastors of different denominations working together to grow the big “C” Church (all Believers) which has the effect of building local churches and disciples.  It also has the effect of changing the culture as the truth of God’s Word invades even the dark places of cities.  Time to Revive seeks to train and equip Believers in a simple way to share the Gospel anytime anywhere, to take them out and let them learn by doing, to train in how to make disciples, to make disciples of the new converts, and to provide discipleship materials for use in making disciples going forward.  This effort has been taken to ten states before Indiana, but now God has laid His hand on this effort in a new way after many years of teaching and testing.  Find out for yourself if it is real.  You can go to websites or Facebook pages for Time to Revive or Revive Indiana and register to join in one of the coming four remaining weeks in Indiana.  Your housing will be provided with local church members, meals will be provided, and transportation while in the city.  All you will be required to pay is the cost to get to Indiana.  God willing – I am going to be able to be there for some of these weeks.  I hope to see many of you there as well.  If you cannot come – please continue to pray as God continues to move – or you may go to those websites and listen and view the morning prayer times and evening worship services live.

About David Maddox, After a legal career in both Texas and Arizona that spanned over 40 years as a civil litigator, God called David to leave his law practice and work full time as Discipleship Director for Time to Revive.  That call is really the fruit of decades of prayer for revival and teaching God’s Word, writing discipleship materials and seeking to make disciples.  David married Janet Whitehead in 1976 and they minister together from their Phoenix home.  God has blessed them with four children and thus far seven grandchildren.
