Psalm 77:14 You are the God who performs miracles; You display Your power among the peoples.
I have been thinking a lot on life and miracles, especially these past few months. When you hold a little baby, you can’t help but think, “Father, You are so amazing!”
Two of my friends have recently received healing miracles. One had suffered four strokes and the doctors told her that it would take six months or more to see any improvement in her ability to walk and speak normally. She went to the doctor week before last and the doctor said it was a miracle because her artery is almost completely healed and this is three months ahead of his own estimate and she walks and talks just perfectly!
The other friend had a large tumor removed from her spine and was functioning perfectly not long after the surgery. The doctor said she was a miracle. He didn’t expect her to be able to walk ever again.
The birth of Jesus Christ was a miracle! He was born of a virgin. Fully God and fully man.
Jesus rose in the resurrection power of God Holy Spirit.
John 5:21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will.
John 11:25,26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
I believe this! I KNOW this!
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
If we are crucified with Christ then:
Ephesians 2:4-6 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus…
And the Holy Spirit lifes us:
Romans 8:10,11 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Isn’t that great news?! What an awesome miracle that when we accept Christ, we are made new with and in Christ Jesus! We were crucified with Christ and raised with and in Him!
