Iran's renegade nuclear program (Illustrative)There were major developments in the negotiations between Iran and the P5+1 nuclear powers (US, UK, France, Russia, China and Germany) this week, with US Senate Democrats and Republicans announcing on Thursday that they will delay a vote in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on legislation that would force President Barack Obama to submit any nuclear agreement with Iran for Congress’ approval until 14 April. The announcement temporarily delays a crisis between Congress and the President, as Obama had threatened to veto the legislation if it was passed.
