Being Nice

I really beleive people want to be nice…..think about it, for a bit…I have thought about posting this for awhile…….I have to share with you that yesterday I walked into the Cracker Barrel I-40/Coors Location in Albuquerque, NM and got hugs! Not just a little hug! BEAR HUGS! I love going there……people want to be nice…..so many have been burned by being nice, they have been hurt, they are numb…….they are a little apprehensive of being nice because of the past. Today is garbage day in our neighborhood and the City Recyclable truck came by and I had some very big cardboard containers that would not fit in the container the city provides. The man in the city truck got out and climbed the ladder on the side of the truck and had me lift them up to him! How nice! dewey sat 4He did not have do that! I have built a rapport with him over the last several weeks. People just want to be appreciated. I have to tell you that all city employees, from the Police Dept. to Public Works have always treated me and Sharon so very nice! So here is the deal…..always treat people very nice, show them the love of Jesus and they will show it back to you, maybe not right away, but it will happen! Being nice should happen naturally……the Lord is with us. Sharon and I are so very thankful for how nice people have been to us with the passing of Buffy, we are still getting sympathy cards in the mail, two more today, they are not just cards, people are pouring their hearts out to us in what they write! Now the birth of our first grandchild, people are showing us so much love once again! We love you all.

Just remember, people want to be nice, but sometimes things of the past have and are hurting them.

Model the love of Jesus to all! People will go out of their way to be nice to you! Amen! Praise God! Hallelujah! It’s all God!

Luke 6:31 teaches us……And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them
