This brings back much hurt for me, my best friend Roger Carey of Windom, Minn. Roger came back home in a “politicians” casket. He was killed in the Vietnam War. Best friend’s Rick Stambaugh and Chuck Ring, who both write for FGGAM, served in Vietnam. It was a war that was run by politicians. I have so many, many friends that fought in this awful war, where the American Public spit on the Vietnam vet’s as they returned home, now many are homeless. So many have died of “agent orange”. In her latest documentary, “Last Days in Vietnam,” director and producer Rory Kennedy takes viewers on a 98-minute, riveting journey about the final hours of the evacuation of Saigon. Kennedy, the daughter of Robert F. Kennedy, has chosen to hone in on a few precious hours that would shape the course of history and millions of lives.
