ICEJ NEWS REPORTS:
Israel strengthens ties with Japan
Attempts by Israel’s many enemies to isolate her in the international arena took another hit on Sunday when the Cabinet approved a plan to invest tens of millions of shekels in a plan to strengthen ties with Japan. The plan calls for an increase in mutual projects covering hi-tech research, academic and government exchanges, increased cooperation in trade and investment as well as security cooperation in a variety of domains. In related news, a vote held Monday among the members of the academic union American Historical Association resulted in a rejection of proposals for the AHA to join the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign against Israel.
