Fort Hood has placed a boot in front of the III Corps building depicting a Life lost for the war in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Each boot has a photo of the Soldier, airman, sailor or marine killed, along with their date of birth,
Date of death, rank, and the campaign in which they were killed. This is a Tradition they plan on doing every year and it will run through Veterans Day. It’s an awesome sight to see in person. It really hits home when you Can put a face to the name. It also puts new meaning to the term “Boots on The Ground”.
