Iran Condemns Terrorism Amidst Weapons Shipments To Yemen

Condemnations for Monday’s deadly hostage siege in Sydney, Australia poured in from around the world, including a somewhat bizarre statement from the Iranian foreign ministry saying, “Resorting to inhumane methods and creating terror and panic in the name of the divine religion of Islam is not justifiable under any circumstances.” Also on Monday, Reuters reported that Iranian intelligence and military officials have confirmed sending large quantities of weapons, cash and advisors to Shi’ite Houthi rebel groups in northern Yemen, who captured the capital city of Sanna in September and have continued pushing government forces further south, instigating a reign of terror over civilians living in areas under their control in the process.
