Israel and the Fight for Freedom!
The rise of radical Islam in modern times has presented a great challenge to the West, and threatens our rights and freedoms. The jihadists are bent on setting up a global caliphate and wiping out Judeo-Christian values along the way. Many Christians and Jews are starting to realize this danger, but it is alarming that so few Western leaders also see it and are courageous enough to stand up to this threat. Now one area where we can clearly see this battle playing out is in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Israel was recently forced to defend itself against incessant Hamas rocket attacks and yet it is the one who is under investigation by the United Nations for war crimes. Meanwhile, much of the region is in flames due to radical Islamic terror militias, who are committing brutal massacres and beheadings. And yet the world is afraid to confront it for the great evil that it is. So why is Israel being singled out for UN condemnation while the real sources of violence and evil in the region are ignored? Will Western leaders ever wake up to the dangers of radical Islam? And how can Christians and Jews work together to confront this threat to our values and way of life? Israel and the Fight for Freedom! That’s our focus this week here on Front Page Jerusalem. We’ll bring you excerpts from a recent message delivered by a leading Israeli scholar at the Feast of Tabernacles gathering in Jerusalem. A popular Israeli commentator, rabbi and author, Dr. Daniel Gordis spoke to a group of Christians from around the world about radical Islam’s growing challenge to Western civilization.

PLO Sniper to Pro-Israel Preacher!

Tass Saada is living proof that God can completely change anyone’s life. Born into a Muslim family in Gaza in 1951, he grew up with a deep hatred of the Jews. Following Israel’s crushing defeat of the Arabs in the 1967 Six Day War, Tass joined the PLO militia and trained to be a sniper. But after moving to America years later, Tass had a supernatural encounter with Jesus that totally changed his life. As Tass began his new Christian walk, the Lord dealt with him about his hardness towards the Jewish people. It was not easy, but Tass began to pray for the Jews and to see God’s plan in bringing them back to the Land of Israel. He eventually moved back to the land himself and today has a ministry based in Jericho called “Seeds of Hope,” which seeks to bring reconciliation between Jews and Arabs. Now Tass has written about his fascinating journey of faith in a book entitled “Once an Arafat Man.” In his biography, Tass recounts how God confronted him about his anger towards his former enemy and how he came to accept all that the Bible has to say about the Jewish people and their Promised Land. And at the recent Feast of Tabernacles gathering in Jerusalem, Tass also shared his dramatic story with thousands of Christians from all over the world. PLO Sniper to Pro-Israel Preacher! That’s our focus next week here on Front Page Jerusalem. We’ll bring you excerpts from the message delivered by former PLO fighter Tass Saada at the recent Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem. He spoke of the great turnaround in his life from being an Arab militiaman filled with hatred for Jews to a born-again Christian with a heart for Israel.
