The NFL and MLB Police blotter keeps adding names……….Is this what you want your children following, worshiping the NFL and MLB, worshiping players and teams like they are a God? Are you in Church on Sunday or in front of the TV, do you worship these guys and teams,  I once did. This type of behavior comes from a nation that continues to move away from God. The movement to a secular American society has taken and is taking a great toll, it is tearing apart America, unGodly behavior is everywhere. Much of what was once fun when I was a kid,  is now dark.
NFLmlbThe NFL has gone bad, very bad. So has baseball. With the announcement that Oriole’s star slugger Chris Davis has been busted after testing positive for amphetamines you might as well throw out the modern day record book in baseball and call them drug induced, in many cases. Davis does not face an arrest in this case, this drug is banned in baseball. The late Harmon Killebrew a baseball Hall-of-Famer once stated it is not fair to those, like himself,  that played clean of drugs and that these guys like Sosa, McGwire and Bonds and too many more enhanced their performance with illegal drugs. I will add this, Davis did this awful drug binge when his team, the Oriole’s are in a pennant race for the first time in years, if that makes it any worse, I don’t know.  As I stated earlier this week the NFL is sadly, a refection of American society, as is baseball. Let us pray for America, America Bless God! God has already blessed our nation, we are the ones sinning. Star Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was taken into custody and released on bond in Texas early Saturday morning following his indictment on a charge of child abuse for allegedly using a branch to spank his son.

A listing on the Montgomery County website said Peterson, 28, was confined at 1:06 a.m. and released less than a half hour later after posting $15,000 bond.

Peterson’s attorney, Rusty Hardin, said Friday that the charge accuses Peterson of using a switch to spank one of his sons. Hardin said Peterson didn’t mean to hurt the boy, whose injuries and age were not disclosed.

“Adrian is a loving father who used his judgment as a parent to discipline his son. He used the same kind of discipline with his child that he experienced as a child growing up in East Texas,” Hardin said.

“Adrian has never hidden from what happened. He has cooperated fully with authorities and voluntarily testified before the grand jury for several hours,” he said. “Adrian will address the charges with the same respect and responsiveness he has brought to this inquiry from its beginning. It is important to remember that Adrian never intended to harm his son and deeply regrets the unintentional injury.”

The Vikings, about an hour after issuing a statement acknowledging the case, said Peterson would be on the inactive list Sunday for their home opener against New England. Houston police and authorities in Montgomery and Harris counties declined comment.

Peterson will have to surrender to authorities, but there is no timeline for when he will appear in Texas, Hardin said.

“We are just obligated to try to get it done as soon as possible, which we intend to honor,” he said.

The NFL Is A Dark Place

From Charles Bryan Moore of Pierceton, Indiana:

The Lord, our Lord, has been continually taking me back to the beginning of human history where man fell into darkness. Back to Genesis. I’ve noticed how men and women, young and old, educated and uneducated alike keep stumbling over the scripture where it says after the flood Noah planted a vineyard and drank of his wine and got drunk. He then was in his dwelling “naked” and his youngest son found him there and went and told his brothers. His brothers were shocked at what was happening and covered him by going in backwards and laying a blanket over his nakedness. Then the story goes on about Noah cursing the youngest son for what he did. People get hung up on this saying it was because he disrespected his father and shared it with others. This is true for sure but there is something more. Nakedness exposed before others is always inappropriate. Small children is one thing. Tribals is another but those that have the Word of God have no excuse as adults to either be viewing it or showing it off. Men are turned on sexually very easily for the most part. God wants to protect us in every age. Today we live in such a fairy-tail… Living lies all around us. Jesus says cast down the imaginations in our lives that esteem themselves higher than the Word of God. It may be as easy as turning on the computer and looking up “nude” but it’s still wrong. How can we say Jesus died for our sins if we keep on bathing our minds in sin consistently? Is this any different than a form of mocking God? Is it really any different than Noah being shamed by his son? Please meditate with me on these things. Peace to you who seek for Truth and find it and after having found it to feast at its table taking it all in and teaching others to do the same. He Loves us soooo much
