Prophetic Alert: The looming war with Islam
The occupant of the Oval Office has now vowed to dismantle the Islamic State. He said, “We are going to systematically degrade their capabilities. We’re going to shrink the territory that they control. And ultimately we’re going to defeat them.” There are many facets to what the “president” is saying, including the free will of men, and the ancient prophecies held in the Holy Scripture. The world is quite possibly witnessing one of the major harbingers of end time prophecy. It could be just a type and shadow of what is to come. It could be groundwork for the end times. With a few additional details, the world could be standing on the threshold of the prophecies of Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah, John and many others.
Irrespective of your eschatological beliefs, it is undeniable that the traditional enemies of Israel will come against it in the end times. Those traditional enemies specifically include the Arab/Islamic people groups surrounding Israel today and have fought against it since the maturation of Ishmael, Esau, Midian, Moab, Amon, and the intermarrying of these lines becoming the “mixed” Arab peoples. They will come against Israel, that the Lord will intervene and, as Ezekiel 38:23 says, “…and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.” And Israel shall, as in Ezekiel 39:28, 29, “…know that I am the Lord their God…Neither will I hide my face any more from them.”
Free will. In his June 2009 “New Beginnings” speech in Cairo, Egypt, the “president” historically reversed American foreign policy by shifting away from support of Israel and embracing Islam. He assisted in the strategic planning and funding of Arab Spring that ushered in Islam and Sharia Law throughout many Northern Africa and Middle Eastern nations. He threw his lot in with the traditional enemies of Israel and America through embracing the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) as a foreign policy partner and accepting al Qaeda as the premier MB military arm. US tax dollars and political power supplied weapons and support for establishing, equipping and training a proxy to remove Syria’s Bashar Assad.
This proxy, which coalesced MB- and al Qaeda-linked groups such as al Nursa and smaller jihadi factions, morphed into the Islamic State. The Islamic State has declared itself a caliphate. It aims to topple Assad and claim territory and spoil while bringing the Levant into submission to Sharia. Its brutality is unmatched in modern times. It is clandestinely supported by Turkey, the land of Magog, Meshech, and Tubal. The US “president” vows now to “defeat” what he helped create. Mark these words: His plan will drain American blood and resources toward an effort where there is absolutely no political solution. He will weaken America and all who follow his lead, while strengthening the resolve of Islam.
