28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30

1Thes. 3:11-13 May God our Father himself and our Master Jesus clear the road to
you! And may the Master pour on the love so it fills your lives and splashes
over on everyone around you, just as it does from us to you. May you be infused
with strength and purity, filled with confidence in the presence of God our
Father when our Master Jesus arrives with all his followers.

Sunday I had the blessing of bringing forth the Word of God at Emmanuel Ministries in Rio Rancho before a packed Church! PRAISE GOD! , ‘Jesus is Worth Getting Up For’ (The audio of this sermon, Lord Willing, will be posted soon in our media center) It was such an AWESOME time! Young and old came to worship! Packed house! There were three Baptisms on Sunday and I asked Apostle Barbara to share………

Hello Pastor Dewey:

Thank you for taking the time to minister to us on Sunday. What a powerful Word! It was a timely Word for the Body of Christ. We must live in Spiritual Worship — it is a lifestyle.

We all agree that it was an exciting afternoon with our Celebration Service (we celebrate our Lord Jesus Christ); with you bringing a message on “Our Spiritual Worship” under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Also having a young lady recommit her life to Jesus Christ and three persons being baptized.

The baptism was priceless — a young man, a child and a young lady. Each one made a confession of their faith in Jesus Christ. They realized that based on Romans 6:2-8 they are now buried with Christ in the water of baptism and now risen with Christ to a new life. The old man is dead, now they have made a decision to begin to live as new creations in Christ. Even little Thaddius at eight years old understands 2 Corinthians 5:17 and sings his new song: “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are past away and behold all things are become new.” They realize that they now must learn to walk out of their old ways and begin to develop a Christ-like lifestyle allowing the Holy Spirit to help them develop the Fruit of the Spirit which is the character of Christ.

It was a tremendous service. It was a pleasure to have you with us as we celebrated the goodness of the Lord another time.

Laborers together with Him,

Apostle Barbara

Thank you Barbara! It was also very special seeing Barbara baptize her grandson 8 year old Thaddius. HOW HEART WARMING! It was also so great in our Lord to see Johnathan baptized as I have come to know him during my visits to Emmanuel.

Matt. 3:11, “As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
Mark 1:8, “I baptized you with water; but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
Luke 3:16, “John answered and said to them all, ‘As for me, I baptize you with water; but One is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to untie the thong of His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
John 1:33, “And I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me, “He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the one who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.”
Acts 1:5, “for John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
Acts 11:16, “And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He used to say, ‘John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

Now most of you all know my love for Dogs! You gotta read my post from this morning!

Minnesota Town Elects ‘Duke The Dog’ As Mayor

Maureen Weaver from New York sent this in! I know my dear friend Dave at the Windom newspaper will love this one!

A Minnesota farmer named Olie had a car accident. He was hit by a truck owned by the Eversweet Company.

In court, the Eversweet Company’s hot-shot attorney questioned him thus: ‘Didn’t you say to the state trooper at the scene of the accident, ‘I’m fine?”

Olie responded: ‘vell, I’lla tell you vat happened dere.

I’d yust loaded my fav’rit cow, Bessie, into da…

‘I didn’t ask for any details’, the lawyer interrupted. ‘Just answer the question. Did you not say, at the scene of the accident, ‘I’m fine!’?’

Olie said, ‘vell, I’d yust got Bessie into da trailer and I vas drivin’ down da road…. ‘

The lawyer interrupted again and said, ‘Your Honor, I am trying to establish the fact that, at the scene of the accident, this man told the police on the scene that he was fine. Now several weeks after the accident, he is trying to sue my client. I believe he is a fraud. Please tell him to simply answer the question. ‘

By this time, the Judge was fairly interested in Olie’s answer and said to the attorney: ‘I’d like to hear what he has to say about his favorite cow, Bessie’.

Olie said: ‘Tank you’ and proceeded. ‘Vell as I vas saying, I had yust loaded Bessie, my fav’rit cow, into de trailer and was drivin’ her down de road vin dis huge Eversweet truck and trailer came tundering tru a stop sign and hit me trailer right in da side by golly. I was trown into one ditch and Bessie was trown into da udder ditch. By yimminy yahosaphat I vas hurt, purty durn bad, and didn’t want to move. An even vurse dan dat, I could hear old Bessie a moanin’ and a groanin’. I knew she vas in terrible pain yust by her groans.

Shortly after da accident, a policeman on a motorbike turned up. He could hear Bessie a moanin’ and a groanin’ too, so he vent over to her. After he looked at her, and saw her condition, he took out his gun and shot her right between the eyes.

Den da policeman came across de road, gun still in hand, looked at me, and said, ‘How are you feelin’?’

‘Now wot  vud YOU say?’

LOL! LOL! Thanks for sharing that FUNNY BONE with us Maureen! God Bless you and yours!

  1. This is a lovely article. It is so good to have a memorial of believers expressing to the world that they have made a decision to follow Jesus Christ all the way.

Thank you Dewey. I’m sorry you did not have a picture of Loretta who was baptized also (smile)

    Blessings!
