Large Barrage From Gaza Just before ‘Humanitarian Truce’ Begins

Terrorists in the Gaza Strip launched a fresh barrage of rockets at Tel Aviv and other communities in central Israel Thursday morning moments before a UN brokered “humanitarian cease-fire” was scheduled to go into effect at 10 AM and lasting till 3 PM, allowing for the delivery of food, water and medicine to hospitals in Gaza. Thursday morning’s bombardment saw several rockets shot down by the Iron Dome air defense system while many more fell in open areas, causing some damage but no casualties. Meanwhile, Israel activated 8,000 more reservists and continued to move troops and equipment into position for a ground invasion of the Strip, as Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas and officials from Israel, Hamas and several European and Arab countries met in Cairo to try and come to a deal for a permanent cease-fire.
