Dear Family of Our Lord Jesus Christ,

Welcome to Wednesday! PRAISE GOD!

May God bless you and yours forever and ever!

Oh my, the Holy Spirit is moving in a powerful way through my office and home….oh my, I have not felt this much Godly energy in months. Amen! Praise God!

My discernment has been raised to a new level! Thank YOU LORD!

Right from wrong is made very clear by our Lord.

Soak yourself in God’s Word, says the Lord.

Do you sense the Holy Spirit with you this day,  if you do not call me please.

Are you consistent in our Lord in all that you do and say?

Do not say anything or do anything without the Lord telling you to do so.

Words of Billy Graham…….

The resurrection of Christ changed the midnight of bereavement into a sunrise of reunion; it changed the midnight of disappointment into a sunrise of joy; it changed the midnight of fear to a sunrise of peace. A Cross in the Sun

From Adrian Rogers…….

“How much more shall the blood of Christ, Who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” Hebrews 9:14

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
What an amazing life the Lord Jesus lived. Do you realize that Jesus never corrected, withdrew, or amended any statement He ever made? I wish I could say that! Jesus Christ never apologized for anything He ever did or said. Jesus Christ never sought advice from anyone, never had to ask for forgiveness.

Jesus Christ doesn’t have any strong points. For Him to have strong points, He would have to have weak points. Robert Clark has rightly given this assessment of his character:

“There was meekness without weakness, tenderness without feebleness, firmness without coarseness, love without sentimentality, holiness without sanctimoniousness, lowliness without lowness, truth without error, enthusiasm without fanaticism, passion without prejudice, heavenly mindedness without forgetfulness, carefreeness without carelessness, service without servility, self exaltation without egotism, judgment without harshness, seriousness without somberness, mercy without softness.”

WOW! AWESOME WORDS!

Victory_over_Death_by_osbjef“Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. This man was handed over to you by God’s set purpose and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross. But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. — Acts 2:22-24

Peter’s great sermon on the Day of Pentecost looks back at the events of Passover and the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ to show that it was the plan and purpose of God in His crucifixion. The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead—is the greatest single event in human history. This is why we celebrate that day on the Christian calendar. The word for “raised” is the compound verb anastasis. Ana means “up” and stasis means “to stand.” God stood Jesus up. He was on a stone slab in a cave—a lifeless corpse.  There was no more breath coming from his lungs. His heart had stopped. His brain was dead. His life was gone. But God . . .

“But God” raised him from the dead. It was an absolute impossibility that Jesus could stay dead. He had done nothing to deserve death—he was sinless. This, too, Peter boldly proclaims, was the fulfillment of a prophecy from Psalm 16 by King David, “I saw the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will live in hope, because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay. You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.” — Acts 2:25-28

Do you know, my friends, that this prophetic statement, written by the Jewish King David, over 1000 years before the event itself—not only was fulfilled in Jesus Christ but this very same promise also applies to you and me today? The resurrection of our body from death—because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the promise of Christianity to all who believe. “For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive” (1 Cor. 15:21-22).

Every one of us has lost to death, someone we deeply love and miss. Let your hearts be glad—for all in Christ will be made alive again. They will stand up—and so will you. Oh, what a wonderful day that will be when we will see our loved ones once again and enjoy their companionship for all eternity. All because of our Lord’s victory over death in our behalf. — Maranatha

Pastor Don Kimbro

Thank you so much for this blessing Pastor Don!

Again from Billy Graham……..

When the devil tempted Jesus, it was a
real temptation. He tempted Him to
turn stones into bread and feed all the hungry
people (see Matthew 4:1–4). Jesus could
have done it, but He was here to take people
to Heaven, to give them eternal life. And He
could do that only by going to the cross and
taking their judgment and their Hell. From
the cross He was saying, “I love you. I love
you, whoever you are.” He would have died
on that cross if you had been the only person
in the whole world. He loves you. You are
important to Him.
Outside the influence of the cross there is
bitterness, intolerance, ill will, prejudice,
hatred, crime, and war. That is why—if the
world does not turn to Christ, and Him
crucified and raised from the dead—we
could see the judgment of God falling upon
our world.
