To Honor And Thank A True Hero

Lance Corporal Casey Allison; A True American Herocasey

As a retired serviceman myself, I can attest to coming home to little or no thanks for the service I, or my brothers and sisters, performed. On all too many occasions, our young service men and women come home, some with, some without, horrendous injuries, physical and all too often mental as well.

These warriors come home to little or no attention from either the media or the public after sacrificing their time and in many cases their physical or mental well-being to insure the protection of our liberties, safety and freedom.

Meanwhile, the media will more than gladly immortalize movie stars, singing artists or the like, even to the extent of offering their sincere regrets when their injuries are a direct result of their own immoral acts and/or lifestyles and even due to their own illegal activity such as drug or alcohol abuse.

It’s time to reverse the country’s course. It’s time for us who remain home while these brave warriors sacrifice so very much, to stand up and say THANK YOU! Thank You for offering the ultimate sacrifice if necessary for our safety and our freedoms.

There are so very many stories to be told, and we’ll never hear them all. But I say, lets try to start changing some of that and I’m asking your help in doing so!

Let’s start with the story of young Lance Corporal Casey Allison. Casey is now back home in the United States after performing truly heroic actions for his country and his fellow Americans and servicemen following combat action in Afghanistan. Casey will be undergoing what will probably be years of recovery while overcoming injuries he received in action in attempt to save some of his fellow warriors in battle.

Some very good people have requested a ‘thank you card drive’ to let Casey know WE CARE. I’m asking and encouraging anyone who can to take a couple extra minutes and very little money to send Casey a THANK YOU CARD! You need not write much; no long letters of appreciation are expected and a short simple THANK YOU CASEY – YOU’RE OUR HERO written on a card, or even just on a piece of paper if that’s all you have and his eyes will light with joy.

You can mail a card or letter to:  LCpL Casey Allison, P.O. Box 898, Moses Lake WA 98837

If you’d like to read a little more about Casey’s story, I’m providing a link to a facebook page for your review and a video of Corporal Casey holding his young baby daughter in his hospital bed:  https://www.facebook.com/events/432621810204637/

Please give Casey, and all our warriors a short prayer and if at all possible, please send him a THANK YOU!

O Lord, we pray thee to have mercy upon all who are this day wounded and suffering. Though kindred and friends be far away, let thy grace be their comfort. Raise them to health again, if it be thy good pleasure; but chiefly give them patience and faith in thee; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Everyone here at FGGAM offers Casey our extremely sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU! You and your entire family are in our prayers Casey. God Bless You Sir!!!

After serving in the United States Navy for 22 years I retired from the service late in 1991. Having always loved the southwest, shortly after retiring, I moved to the Albuquerque area where I have resided since. Initially I worked as a contractor for approximately 6 years doing cable construction work. That becoming a little dangerous, at an elevated age, I moved into the retail store management environment managing convenience stores for roughly 16 years. With several disabilities, I am now fully retired and am getting more involved with helping Pastor Dewey & Pastor Paul with their operations at FGGAM which pleases my heart greatly as it truly is - "For God's Glory Alone". I met my precious wife Sandy here in Albuquerque and we have been extremely happily married for 18 years and I am the very proud father to Sandy's wonderful children, Tiana, our daughter, Ryan & Ross, our two sons, and proud grandparents to 5 wonderful grandchildren. We attend Christ Full Deliverance Ministries in Rio Rancho which is lead by Pastor's Marty & Paulette Cooper along with Elder Mable Lopez as regular members. Most of my time is now spent split between my family, my church & helping the Pastors by writing here on the FGGAM website and doing everything I can to support this fantastic ministry in the service of our Lord. Praise to GOD & GOD Bless to ALL! UPDATED 2021: Rick and Sandy moved to Florida a few years ago. We adore them and we pray for Rick as he misses Sandy so very, very much!

  1. Thank you for your write up about Casey Alison and prayers and wishes for him.
    (I am his cousin)
But I wanted to thank YOU for your service as well. It is so sad that you and others were not welcomed home and given proper care. I hope that does improve.
    Thank you!
    God bless,

  2. Your words and thoughts are kind Teresa and know they are appreciated. At this point, my story is history and don’t mean that sarcastically. I write a post each day ‘Today In History’ here at FGGAM and trust me, I read about my time each day. (LOL)!
The honor we need today however is for Casey and all his fellow warriors fighting the fight for us today. Him and his fellow service men and women today, (and their families), carry on a very, very proud tradition and should hold their heads high and carry a great pride for what they are doing for us and even more so for our brave wounded warriors such as Casey himself. He has paid a price for our freedom few truly understand and which can never be fully repaid and his is the honor today!
I am pleased by your note as it is an obvious indication that he has a wonderful family support system around him which he will need as he transitions forward in life and for that, you all deserve a note of HONOR yourselves.
Thank You and your family and when you next see Casey or talk to him please let him know he is in our thoughts and prayers here at For God’s Glory Alone Ministries. If you can muster it up the next time you see him, give him a great big hand salute for me. (And what a beautiful young baby to share life with him! – WOW!!!)
