New Mexico Snowpack Is Poor Once Again This Winter

snowpackThe high temperature in Albuquerque is expected to be near 60 today, I saw people watering their lawns as the drought continues to take a toll on lawns, trees, shrubs and etc. Albuquerque is now number 4 in tree death in the U.S. Meanwhile FGGAM friends Julio and Sandra of the Riverbend Lodge in Chama, NM report only less than 4 feet of snowpack in the area. The National Westher Service in Albuquerque has this report: The most recent snowpack update looks dire for New Mexico once again. Snow-water equivalent percent of normal values are worse than this time in 2013 and for most areas compared to 2012. Conditions across the western U.S. are similar with many areas below normal, except for the front range. A dry, warmer, and breezy pattern will redevelop over New Mexico starting Tuesday and continue through the weekend. Areas of the Pacific northwest will see some relief as a lengthy tap of Pacific moisture invades the region through the entire week.
We here at FGGAM are in constant prayer for moisture, please pray with us, in Jesus name, Amen!
