I loved watching Johnny Morris on KOAT TV! Such a wonderful man! I just got the news of his passing. Johnny served us all so very well with his excellent broadcasting, but more importantly, being a super human being! Longtime KOAT anchor Johnny Morris dies I did not know that he started in broadcasting in my home state of Minnesota, at a radio station in Mankato! Please keep Johnny’s family and many, many friends in your prayers.

From Wikipedia: Channel 4, KOB TV, was never able to overtake KOAT in the news ratings, largely due to the staying power of anchor Johnny Morris and a folksy weatherman Howard Morgan. Knipfing, now in his third stint at KRQE, remains a fixture in the local TV news scene.
