Deuteronomy 31:6: So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” NLT
Over the past couple of days I’ve been thinking about how personal God is with us. He’s not a God that just has a vague idea of who you are or just knows a little bit about you. He’s a God that knows every small detail of your life right down to the number of hairs on your head. The details of our lives we don’t know, He does.
It’s amazing to think that we have a God we can pray to and he listens and hears each one of our prayers individually. He even answers our prayers on an individual, personal basis. Sometimes we try to put God in a box where we expect Him to do everything the same way for everybody. We have to be careful not to put God in a box and expect Him to work in my life or my situation the same way that He did in yours. We also have to be careful that we don’t counsel others to take the same exact steps we did because that’s what worked for us. Yes, there are Biblical guidelines that we follow and we can instruct others with, but, how they walk through those guidelines may be completely different then how you did. God wants to personalize His relationship with you.
I once experienced a time of helping someone else out through their circumstance and I actually questioned God as to why He was working a certain way in their situation because it just didn’t make sense to me. God very quickly spoke and said, “I will do what I want, how I want, and when I want.” In other words, leave the details up to me and don’t put me in a box!
Again, we can counsel people on what worked for us but don’t expect it to go exactly the same way for them. If you’re the one dealing with a situation as you read this, don’t expect God to work in your life exactly like He did in someone else’s. Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will PERSONALLY go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you. It’s time to get personal!
Amen Stephen!
As no two of us are exactly the same which is the way HE designed us – neither is HIS plan exactly the same for each of us!
Well written & Thank You!
