A Blessing From Monica Miller Ruhl

Dear Family of Our Lord Jesus Christ,
Thank you for stopping by for a CUP!
I wanted to mention that we thank all of you who forward the CUP to other folks! Even had a lady tell me that she sends it to family in Brazil!!

For God’s Glory Alone!
We ask you for your prayers and support as we branch out the ministry to two more radio stations. The Lord gave us those stations to go on. We are now on 4 radio stations. The Lord is telling us to spread our wings and branch out further to shed His light to the dark world. We need more of you to come by our side in this mission. The Lord is showing me more……we are praying for His guidance and to show us what stations and how Lord. FAITH. We are the number one Christian news web site in New Mexico. We have 34 wonderful folks who volunteer their time to write for FGGAM!!   Praise God! This is a miracle, I have never seen anything like FGFAM.ORG! We are also having a world impact, so much now we offer the web site in different languages. Managing the site has become the work of 4 people each day, myself, Isaac Milleson, Paul Holt and Rick Stambaugh. It is like running a 24/7 radio station.
letting_go__by_kreneed13-d36g5nyThis can be a tough one for many,It can be for me! From Jesus Calling Devotional: The best response to losses or thwarted hopes is praise: The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Remember that all good things—-your possessions, your family and friends, your health and abilities, your time—–are gifts from Me. Instead of feeling entitled to all these blessings, respond to them with gratitude. Be prepared to let go of anything I take from you, but never let go of My hand!
Please read Psalm 139: 23-24, 1 Peter 5:6, Job 1:21
I wanted to mention that Pastor Ray Franks was the first Christian music DJ in Albuquerque back in the early 70’s when KKIM Radio AM 1000 signed on! I interviewed Ray about that a few times and the show started out as an hour then expanded to all Saturday afternoon because of all the phone calls! Ray said he had so much fun on those Saturday afternoon’s playing the Lord’s music and taking phone calls from thankful listeners!  Ray knew the founder of KKIM Frank Donald Hall. Please go to the Media Center at FGGAM.ORG www.fggam.org and listen to yesterdays “The World We Live In” as we pay tribute to Pastor Ray and Blackie Gonzales, Christian Broadcast Pioneers who have blessed New Mexico and the World! Some of you have asked what was Ray’s age, he was 73 born in 1940 his birthday is in April. Just a reminder that the service arrangements for Pastor Ray are as follows: The Public of Pastor Raymond L. Franks, will be on Thursday, January 30th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the French’s Mortuary at 7121 Wyoming NE. The funeral will be held on Friday, January 31st at 1:30 p.m. at Evangel Christian Center. In lieu of flowers, we are asking friends to consider a donation to either one of the non-profit ministries that dad pioneered…either Evangel Christian Center (505 ) 883-1300 or Alpha Omega Broadcasting (505) 884-8355. Thank you for the way many of you have already honored my dad! He certainly blessed me, the ECC church family, the broadcast community, and a multitude of others.
Today’s CUP was prepared by Monica Miller Ruhl of Global Destiny Ministry in Albuquerque. Yesterday we honored Monica and Pastor Bill on celebrating 15 years of marriage, today Monica blesses us with her posting:

*You prepare a table [the whole Lamb] before me [the bride] in the
presence of my enemies…Ps 23:5 *
In reality as Christians we are tested in the areas of the three components
of the human soul—our own “thoughts”, “desires”, and “choices”.  The
“natural self” cannot be obliterated, but it can be kept confined and
“powerless” by the Spirit of God (Gal. 5:16-17; 1 Pet. 4:1-2).  This is the
meaning of carrying your own cross continually (daily) to hold the “flesh”
in the place of “death” (Gal.2:20) no longer ruling/dominating so that the
“law of the Spirit of life” in Jesus Christ has preeminence—the gravity of
drawing us into God himself where love like a river is unhindered and
unstoppable.  Christ’s victory is demonstrated in us (internally) by the
power of the Holy Spirit through our relational-obedience to Truth/Jesus.  Our
internal world is directly related to the external world.  There is some
legitimacy to fixing external conditions, but if there is no *internal
transformation* we are not yet loosed into the Spirit life in Christ,
making history likely to repeat itself in the “unsanctified” soul areas.  Yet,
the glorious marvel of God’s unfathomable goodness in His profound mercy
and love with longsuffering toward us in this, is to apprehend our hearts
and minds in Christ Jesus by the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.

We will get through our testing’s and trials quickly if we will choose to
be governed by the Holy Spirit rather than “self” that weaves poisonous
webs of false belief systems.  God’s objective is the “overcoming life”—the
life of Christ in us.  Head knowledge will not produce an overcoming
life—there has to be “heart change”—true repentance brings *r e g e n e r a
t i o n*.  And convictions of the Holy Spirit continue to set the “plumb
line” in our hearts so that we are continually progressively being
conformed to Christ.  The HOLY SPIRIT will faithfully bring to our
attention what we need to “let go” of so that we can apprehend the promises
of Truth “setting us free” until every area of our soul is “experientially”
governed by the Lamb through the Spirit in the enterprise of the Father.  God’s
ultimate intension is for Him [love] to be “enthroned” in every department
of the heart.

Fully regenerated—fully matured is the Father’s goal in this
“Administration of Increase” in a period (time and season) of “recovery”—*the
Bridal paradigm*—of God’s original intent*.  *We must understand that God’s
original intent was not Salvation that is illogical His original intent has
always been a Bride.  Hence, God’s ending is His beginning (Rev. 19; Gen. 1
& 2).  The Apostle Paul was shown this “great mystery” concerning Christ
and the (true) church which He explains in Ephesians Chapter 5.

Salvific love is “need based love”—we need to be Saved (Gen. 3).  Bridal
love is greater—it is not need based, it is “choosing” to become “one” with
the Lamb (John 17:22)—the nature of the Lord dwelling in the
The Bridal paradigm is a progressive journey of “becoming” (coming into
maturity/ likeness) in which the Lamb has His own kind=Seed of glory
(Himself)—Christ in you the hope of glory—fully grown/developed=
another choice involved—being “made ready” without spot or wrinkle is
the plumb line ministry of Truth that is bound up in profound unearthly
end-time church—the overcomers—the Remnant!  The importance of this cannot
be overstated because of the eternal weight of reality that it carries.

There is a growing “distinction” arising (Is 60:1-3; 2 Peter 1:19…as to a
light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star
rises in your hearts) that relates to what I’ve shared in which the 7-fold
Spirit (Is. 11: 1-2) that rested and *remained* upon our Lord will likewise
be in His end-time *Bridal company*.   This is God’s desire for you and we
must choose carefully and wisely, beloved.   ~globaldestinymonica

Looking at the three components of the human soul:

As long as we obey the “present word” of the Lord, the enemy does not
have ground (legal right) to accuse us and possibly obtain permission to
afflict us (Rev. 12:10; Luke 22:31; Job 2:4-6).  The devil can only
tempt an obedient Christian (1 Thess. 3:5; Heb. 2:18).

The enemy looks for opportunities to “destabilize” the soul.  Often the
emotions are the first objective because they are the most difficult to
regulate since they bypass the mind.  Therefore the human soul life must
be tested and tried time after time until there is confidence only in
Christ in you.

The enemy seeks to gain legal right to afflict a Christian by tricking
them to accept a lie.  In unending variation, he uses the same method
that he used with Eve in the garden—thus leading one to miss the mark.

Soulish affection is the hardest area of a Christian’s emotional life to
yield to the Cross.  Peter confessed Jesus as the Christ by revelation
from the Father and then immediately he let his “unsanctified devotion” for
the Lord to be governed allowing the devil to speak through him.

Satan cannot speak the truth—only half-truths or lies (John 8:44).  The
present, proceeding word from Scripture is the defense that Jesus used
against the enemy in the wilderness temptations (Heb. 4:12; Matt
4:4).  Satan
also uses the Word of God, but it is not Spirit breathed.  If we accept
one lie from the enemy it gives him ground (legal right) to coerce part of
that person’s mind (Gen. 3:4-7, 13).

We must always choose relational-obedience to God’s Word instead of
fleshly (natural) affection (Matt. 10:37-39; John 12:25).  Watch for the
worries, riches, and pleasures of this life that hinder Christ being formed
in you. (Luke 8:14).

Though the enemy usually attacks our emotions first, the real
battleground is in the “thought life (2 Cor. 11:3).  Thoughts are the
weakest part of our being, especially Christians whose minds have not been
fully renewed (Rom. 12:2; Eph. 4:23).  All of the devil’s strongholds,
such as pride, deception, unbelief, and disobedience that result from human
speculations, must be addressed and torn down (2 Cor. 10:5).

The Holy Spirit brings Scripture to mind to help us recognize deception.
(Zech. 4:6—“Not by might, not by power, but by *My Spirit*,’ says the
Lord of hosts.”

The “will” is meant by God to be the most effective part of the
disciple’s soul.

The enemy’s final objective is to recapture some part of the will of the
Christian.  God continually preserves in us the “freedom” of the will to
choose Christ or to reject Him in every situation (Philem. 14; Rev. 22:17).

If Satan cannot effect our emotions and mind, he will test our will—the
capacity to “choose”.  Under the authority of the Holy Spirit, the
“sanctified will” is to regulate the whole person.

When we love the Father, the love of the things of the world is not in
us.  To be a friend of God is to be an enemy of the world system of
self-love (James 4:4).   “Do not love the world [system controlled by
Satan], nor the “things” in the world.  If anyone loves the world, the
love of the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world, the
lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life,
is not from the Father, but is from the world” (John 2:15-16).  When the
Holy Spirit fills our hearts with the love of God, the power of the love of
the flesh is overcome.  For there is no room for loving our fleshly self
when we hope for the glory of God that satisfies every need (Rom. 5:2-5;
Phil. 4:19).

Jesus said, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself
[the unsanctified expression of the soul through the body], and take up his
cross daily and follow Me.  For whoever wishes to save his [soul] life
[of his own mind, emotions, and will] shall lose it, but whoever loses his
[soul] life for My sake, he is the one who will save it” (Luke 9:23-24).
The crux of sanctification—the eye of the needle for disciples—is to
come to the place of hating one’s own thoughts, desires, will, words, and
actions apart from God (John 12:25).  [The absence of the life of the
Spirit—His abiding presence].

His jealousy born in our hearts:

*Song 8:6-7*

*Set me as a seal upon your heart,*

*As a seal upon your arm;*

*For love is as strong as death,*

*Jealousy as cruel as the grave; *

*Its flames are flames of fire,*

*A most vehement flame. *

*Many waters cannot quench love,*

*Nor can the floods drown it.*

*If a man would give for love *

*All the wealth of his house,*

*It would be utterly despised.*

The first aspect of our growing mature (complete) in Christ is for Him
to share His overcoming of all of God’s enemies with us (Rev. 3:21).  At
that point we are able to receive more and more of the Father’s love for
the Lord Jesus (John 17:26).  This love for Christ controls us, “holding
[us] to one end and prohibiting [us] from considering any other” (Cor.
5:14, Wuest).  The capacity of our new, spiritual heart is boundless
because it is created in the image and likeness of Jesus’s heart (Col.
3:10, Eph. 4:24).  No distress can separate us from the Father’s love
for us in Christ, but in all these things we triumph through His
unconquerable love (Rom. 8:35-37).

*We cannot remove the inborn love for ourselves, nor can we of ourselves
love Christ.  It is only the Holy Spirit that can (successfully) contain
the former and can impart the latter to us.*  (Gal. 5:17; 2 Thess. 3:5).

Our understanding in the above statement is truly an emancipation that
God earnestly desires for us to intimately experientially know as
Reality—it is the life devotion of surrender—the bedroom of the soul
inhabited by the Lamb—His rest in us! ~monica miller-ruhl

It’s impossible to know that *“greater is He who is in us than he who is
in the world” *without battle.  So many think wrongly that maturity
means no battle.  MATURITY IS BATTLE!  Maturity is challenge! Maturity
is God severing and emancipating us from us.  So that we no longer have
dominion, the Spirit of Christ does.  So that our spirit is submitted to
the Holy Spirit and to God’s Life living in and through us. ~Terry Bennett

When love, or the Spirit of God strikes a man, he is transformed, he no
longer insists upon his separate individuality.  Our Lord never spoke in
terms of individuality, of a man’s… isolated position, but in terms of
personality*—“that they may be one, even as We are one.”*   If you give up
your right to yourself to God, the real true nature of your personality
answers to God straight away.  Jesus Christ emancipates the personality,
and the individuality is transfigured; the transfiguring element is love,
personal devotion to Jesus.  ~Oswald Chambers
