Tomorrow, citizens across the country will mark the 41st anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision that legalized the killing of an unborn child for ANY reason ANY time in pregnancy, for all nine months.
There is much to be thankful for in regard to a record number of recent abortion clinic closures throughout the U.S.  Through the legislative process, most states have restricted abortions at 24 weeks and others at 20 weeks of pregnancy. Unfortunately, New Mexico is one of only a few states that has no law limiting abortion which is lawful–up to the very day of birth.
With recent common sense restrictions on abortion enacted in neighboring states, New Mexico has become a “safe haven” for late term abortionists and women from across the country seeking this dangerous and unnecessary procedure.

Please consider participating in the Sanctity of Life Awareness Day on the Anniversary of Roe v. Wade tomorrow January 22nd in Santa Fe . Let our leaders hear your voice!   Make sure to ask our leaders in Santa Fe what they will be doing to enact common sense restriction on abortion to protect women and children in New Mexico.  As this is a 30-day “budget” legislative session,  we encourage you to inquire why your N.M. tax dollars are funding late-term abortions through Medicaid.
