The National Weather Service is calling the rain here in New Mexico, “Historic Sept Rain Bursts”. Up to 60 people are being removed from a flooded RV Park in Lakewood by helicopter. Lakewood is about 15 miles south of Artesia, NM. A freight train in the area is also stranded by flooding. Several roads in the state are closed because of flooding.
